Me and my friends sat around the grand dining table, freshly showered and ready for breakfast. The warm sunlight streaming through the windows highlighted their cheerful faces as they chatted and laughed.

"I'm so down for a food coma today," William said, rubbing his hands together.

"Same here," Chase replied, grinning. "I'm starving!"

Just then, Korvus entered the room, and the atmosphere tensed immediately. His imposing presence seemed to suck the air out of the space.

But then, he revealed a tray laden with mouthwatering breakfast delights - crispy bacon, golden pancakes, scrambled eggs, and more. The aroma wafting from the dishes was irresistible.

I didn't have anything against Korvus, exactly. He had provided for us, given us shelter and food. But there was something about his presence that intimidated me in a way I couldn't quite describe. It was like he held a power over us, a power that made me feel small and vulnerable.

Just as I was starting to feel like I couldn't take it anymore, Damon entered the room, his broad shoulders and towering frame commanding attention. He walked in after Korvus, his eyes scanning the room as if searching for something - or someone.

His gaze locked onto me, and I felt that same spark of unease. It was as if he could see right through me, into the depths of my soul., his presence electrifying the air. His broad shoulders and towering frame commanded attention, making me feel tiny and vulnerable.

Damon's eyes seemed to bore into my very soul, rekindling the spark from our kitchen encounter. I was trapped, unable to look away, as the world around me melted into nothingness.

The clinking of silverware, the gentle chatter of my friends, everything faded into the background, replaced by the sound of my own ragged breathing. Time stood still, leaving only the two of us suspended in a sea of tension.

Memories of our encounters flooded my mind - the cell, the kitchen, the touch of his hand. My face heated up, my heart racing with excitement and a hint of fear. What did he want from me? Why did I feel so drawn to him?

I tried to play it cool, but my heart still raced from the intensity of Damon's gaze. I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted from me, and why I felt so drawn to him.

I also couldn't understand these people. They were contradictions - warm and welcoming one moment, cold and calculating the next. They literally had a dungeon, a hellhole where they kept people captive. And yet, they sat here, eating breakfast with us, laughing and chatting like we were old friends.

Damon's presence was just like Korvus's - intimidating, overpowering. But there was something more, something that drew me to him. Maybe it was the way he'd saved me from those men, or the way he'd touched me in the kitchen. Whatever it was, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was trapped in a web of secrets and lies.

As Damon greeted my friends, his deep voice breaking the spell, I felt a shiver run down my spine.

I glanced around the table, searching for answers. William and Chase were laughing, oblivious to the tension. Brandon looked uneasy, his eyes darting between Korvus and Damon.
I knew I wasn't alone in my fears. But what could we do? We were trapped in the mansion, at the mercy of these powerful, enigmatic men.
The breakfast spread lay before me, but my appetite was gone. All I could think about was escape, and the secrets that lurked beneath the surface of this opulent prison

------

I tried to force the food down my throat, focusing on the taste and texture to distract myself from Damon's piercing gaze. But it was no use - I could feel his eyes on me, boring into my skin like a drill.
