Minas POV

Waiting Room

Things have slowly gotten better for me. I decide to chase down my dream as a doctor. I share an apartment with a male jungkook. It's been two weeks since we met and he's not so bad. Hes been very kind to me. And i hope it stays that way and he won't turn out to be a bad person. Right now I'm about to do my interview for the medical training.

"Mina Myoui?".

I looked up to see a woman standing in the doorway, holding a clipboard.

"We're ready for you".

I stood up, trying to smooth down the wrinkles in my blouse as I followed her into the interview room.

The Interview Room

The two interviewers sat behind a large table, one of them a woman in her forties with a kind, approachable demeanour, and the other, a man with glasses who seemed a bit more reserved. They both smiled as I entered, gesturing for me to take a seat.

"Good afternoon, Myoui Mina. Thank you for coming in today. We've gone over your application, and I have to say, we're very impressed with your academic background and your volunteer work".

"Thank you", I replied.

The man adjusted his glasses and leaned forward slightly.

"We'll start by asking you a few questions to get to know you better and understand why you've chosen to pursue a career in medicine. Can you tell us a little about what inspired you to become a doctor?"

I took a deep breath, feeling more grounded now that the questions had started.

"I've always wanted to help people, but it wasn't until I volunteered at a hospital that I realized just how much of a difference I could make in people's lives through medicine. I worked closely with patients, helping them through some of their most difficult moments, and it made me realize that this is where I belong. I want to be able to offer comfort, support, and treatment to those who need it the most", I replied.

The interviewers nodded, listening intently.

"That's a wonderful motivation. Can you tell us about a time when you faced a challenge in a clinical setting and how you handled it?"

I nodded, recalling one of my experiences.

"There was a time when I was volunteering in the pediatric wing, and we had a young patient who was absolutely terrified of needles. It was difficult for the nurses to even get close to him, and he would panic whenever he saw any medical equipment. I took the time to talk to him, to distract him with stories and little games, and after a while, he started to trust me. I think what really helped was giving him a sense of control, even if it was just in a small way. Eventually, we were able to administer the medication he needed without him getting upset".

The man nodded, scribbling something down on his notepad.

"That's impressive. You seem to have a natural ability to connect with patients, especially children. That's an important quality for a doctor", he said.
