As Liam, Dorian and Ruby entered the combat hall, the first thing they felt was the cold stare of the combat instructor
" Now can you tell me why you three are late" the instructor said
" Oh boy" Dorian mattered.
Vanessa Ashheart, the eldest daughter of Marchioness Ashheart is the combat instructor for Astralex Royal Academy first year students, she is a woman who always has a cold and indifferent expression on her face and she is one of the Instructor student feared the most
" You haven't answered my question" she said.
" W-we are very sorry miss, we lost track of time " ruby answered
" Hmm, see me after the class to assign your punishment for last coming" she told them
" Yes miss, we understand" the three of them replied
" Go take weapons from the rack" she told them
The three of them nodded and went to the weapon rack, when they got there, they saw varieties of weapons, different size and shape of swords, axes, spears and shields
Ruby took a silver bladed katana with black hilt and a dark sheath, while Dorian picked a red bladed spear.
Liam looked at the weapon, 'which one should I pick, I've always used a rapier but it isn't meant for me, although I haven't awakened my element I still have hope' Liam thought, then he took a black jian sword and walked to where the other student were.
" Hey, why do you think he changed his weapon" a student named Claus whispered to his friend " I don't know, now he can't change his style of weapon again till he graduate" his friend Sam answered.
Liam sighed, " Silence" Vanessa loudly said
" Today you're going to have a friendly spar, so I will be assigning you to your pair" Vanessa said as she started calling out students and their pair for the Spar
"Dorian Black and Adrian Von Richter" she said.
" And for the last, we have Ruby Greylash and Liam Xavier" Vanessa called out.
" Now that everyone has heard their names we will now begin, the rules are simple, the use of magic is allowed, if anyone is caught using, he or she will be disqualified and will serve serious punishment" she said.
" Now the first five set of student I called should come out, be fast about it" me Vanessa shouted.

All student were done with their matches except from Liam, Dorian, Ruby and the guy named Adrian
Some minutes later Dorian named was called out.
" Good luck bro/Dorian" Liam and Ruby said, " thanks, I needed that" Dorian replied.
The match was very interesting because both students were Spearman, Adrian really gave Dorian an hard time, but alas Dorian came out victorious.
" Ruby Greylash and Liam Xavier, you're up next" Ms Vanessa said.
The two of them walked to the arena, " go Liam, whoop her ass" Dorian shouted
"Begin" Ms Vanessa said, the two of them rushed at each other
*Clang* Ruby's katana hits the one of Liam, " let have a good fight cupcake" Ruby told Liam with a mischievous smile on her face then she moved her sword wanting to hit Liam on his gut
Liam felt a chill run down his spine and he jumped backwards
"Oh nice instinct" she said, then she ran towards him with astonishing speed swinging her katana blade to his head.
He didn't know what happened, it was as if his body reacted by itself and he docked with a speed more faster than that of Ruby's, he used full force to swing his sword hitting Ruby on the guy making her lose her balance then he placed his blade on her neck.
Nobody might not have noticed but when Liam swinged his blade his iris changed color from his usual shining amethyst to blood red. " You lose Ruby" Liam told her, after saying that he lost all his strength then he fainted.
