Lloyd's POV:
"Lloyd," Jay groaned. "can you not be good at video games for a second?" I couldn't help but grin. I had beaten all four of the ninjas at every video game get threw at me for three hours. After fighting off robots, pizza and video games was paradise.
"I'm getting pretty tired," Kai yawned. He slipped on his red jacket before hitting his head on a pillow.
"That's mine!" Cole complained. Cole slipped the pillow from under Kai, leaving him sleeping with the television remote.
"Cole!" Kai groaned. He squeezed his eyes shut. The TV went black. Darn it, Kai turned off the TV.
"How are we supposed to play video games when Kai is slumbering on it?" Jay whined. Zane sighed.
"Brothers, we do not need the television to socialize together," Zane closed his eyes.
"Socialize smocialize," Jay crossed his arms. What matters is that Lloyd is creaming us in video games!" I rolled my eyes. Jay and Zane continued their conversation as Cole went to the kitchen. A faint noise came from the ceiling.
"Guys," I said. No one moved. "Guys!" Still nothing. I sighed and went to the kitchen with Cole.
"Do you hear it?" Cole asked. He had is black gi on, already. I nodded my head, and I saw a flash of worry fill his eyes. "Let's warn the others."
"Guys!" I tried again.
"Guys! If you don't listen I will make you all five servings of breakfast tomorrow!" Cole yelled.
"You wouldn't," Jay gasped. Cole nodded. "Evil human being."
"It's not that bad!" Cole flung his arms in the air.
"It is not bad," Zane gave him a reassuring smile. "but there is always room for improvement." Cole sighed. Kai slowly got up.
"Do you guys hear it?" Kai asked. The soft noise got louder. What was it?
"I hear it now!" Jay jumped up and down. He put his blue mask on. "Let's go check it out."
"Whatever we do," I whispered. "we cannot attract any attention to ourselves."
"Yo, whatever you are!" Jay yelled. "Show yourself!"
"Way to be quiet, Jay," Cole hissed. Jay put his hands up. Out of nowhere, Jay grunted and fell to his knees. Someone was nearby. I closed my eyes and listened to any sudden movements. I could hear my friends quick breathes, and the wind blowing gently. And footsteps. I ducked and grabbed what felt like a wrist.
"Who are you?" I stared at the black figure. The black figure answered by kicking me in the stomach. Two people in all black came to view. The only thing we could see from them was matching brown eyes. One of the flipped onto the roof as the other ran the other direction.
"You guys get that one, I'll get the one on the roof!" Cole yelled. Without an answer, Cole jumped onto the roof and chased after the guy.
Cole's POV:
I tried to gain my balance as I chased after the guy in black. I nearly slipped off of the roof once or twice when a piece of wood would fly my way. I started to run faster as the man came into view. Who was he? And what did he want?
"Stop!" I shouted after him. He ran faster, but not fast enough. I grabbed him by the shoulders and threw him to the ground. He managed to kick me in the stomach, but I held on tight. He finally wiggled his way out of my grip and started running again.
"You can't get away from me!" I growled and pounced on him again. I heard a small cry from him as I put all my weight onto him. "Gotcha." He punched me square in the jaw. I tried to blink away the white dots that were blurring my vision. The guy flipped us off of the monastery and onto the grass. We rolled down a hill and he dug his fingernails into my shoulders. I swallowed down a cry and squeezed his wrists. After awhile, he finally went limp. He was unconscious. I smiled at my small victory. I didn't always need the other four to handle somethings.
