The man's voice rang out sharply, a single command that sliced through the tension like a blade: "Run!" The figure before him was just a silhouette, his back turned as he faced a group of three intruders inside his home. He was taller than Eris, a stranger whose name and face he couldn't recall, yet his voice carried an urgency that demanded obedience. The three men he confronted were unfamiliar as well, but in the instant his command reached his ears, he knew he had no choice but to listen. Somehow, he felt a deep, inexplicable trust in him.

Without hesitation, Eris spun around and fled towards the back door, driven by a fear he didn't fully understand. His only thought was to escape, to get as far away as possible. He ran with everything he had, his legs pumping furiously as though his life depended on it—because it did. If he could have sprouted wings, he would have flown to safety. The gnawing terror inside him whispered that no matter how fast he ran, they would catch him. All He could do was hope that the man who had stayed behind could hold them off long enough for him to disappear.

Eris plunged into the familiar darkness of the forest, the towering trees offering no solace, only shadows. He needed help, but where could he find it? His breath came in ragged gasps, his heart pounding erratically in his chest. Sweat soaked his hair and clothes, the effort of running taking its toll. He wanted to call out for someone, anyone, but no name came to mind. There was someone who could save him, someone who could protect him from the unknown threat chasing him, but his identity eluded him.
