"Okay so let me get this straight," you were sitting criss cross against a rock facing the other Five with a slowly growing migraine eating its way through your skull.

"In your timeline, you also have six other siblings with various powers, a crazy father, and ended up here because you tried to time travel and...well..you messed up"

"Precisely" Five half mumbled. He was sitting on the other side of you also against a rock. He had made a little camp in the circle of rubble. There was a little makeshift bed, a couple of blankets, and a mannquin. You reminded yourself to ask about the mannequin after you got to know him a bit more.

"So how long have you been out here?"

He took a deep breath in and sighed. "It's hard to keep track. I've been trying. At this point about Seven years."

"So you'd be around twenty by now. You don't look it though."

"The body ages differently when you're stuck in an apocalypse"

"I have another question"
Five slightly rolled his eyes but you didn't care. "You said apocalypse. Is that what this is? Do you know why this happened?"

"Yes. One of my siblings, Viktor, in this timeline went crazy and blew up the moon or something. Something my father was trying to prevent in my timeline."

"Hmm...my father seemed more worried about killing my brother than saving anyone or anything" The sadness and reality of your situation hit you again. A single tear fell down your face and you realized you hadn't even had time to properly mourn. You refused to cry in front of this guy though. You quickly rubbed your eyes and inconspicuously wiped the tear away. "This sand is killer on the eyes"

"Yeah it's definitely a sensation of it's own. So tell me your story. You mentioned a dead brother and clearly you're number Five in your family as well. What's your deal?" Five prodded. It was only Fair you guessed. He told you his story you might as well share yours. What did you have to lose?

"Well, I am number Five in my family but you can call me (Y/N). It seems like you've already taken and wear the name Five well. I won't take that from you" you chuckled trying to make a little joke. Five just stared at you. "Okay" you whisper.

You begin to tell him about childhood with your Reginald. You tell him about growing up and training. Then you tell him about the mission that sent you here. How Ben found the girl and your dad shot them both from behind and how you panicked and ended up blinking here.

"And then you pointe a gun at me and then we started chatting and then we sat down and you told me your--"

"Yeah I got it from there thanks"

Jerk. You were just trying to be funny.

"Why haven't we created a paradox?" You randomly spurt out. "I mean...if we're both Five does that mean we are each other from different timelines? Shouldn't we be having symptoms by now?"

"Like you said, if we were the same person from different time lines we would be experiencing all the symptoms and we aren't so we're not"

"So we're just...different people with the same power"

"Precisely"

"Alrighty then"

There were a few minutes of silence.

"Well...any ideas on how to get out of here? As someone who has been here for seven years I'm open to new ideas"

"We could try to pull our powers together and see if we can generate enough power to blink out? From there I could get back to my timeline...probably"

"It's worth a try"

The two of you stood up.

"Think about everything I told you. It should help get you back to my timeline with me" Five reminded you. You nodded in agreement.

Five put his hand on your shoulder and you put your hand on his. He looked over at you and nodded.

"One"

"Two"

"Three"

You both attempted a time jump. It almost seemed to work. It felt more powerful than when you had tried earlier in the day. The two of you landed only to be faced with the scorching heat.

You looked around and you were exactly where you had been a minute ago.

Five let out a sigh and just went and sat back down.

"I should have known it wouldn't have worked. It never does" he grumbled.

"Well it was worth a try."

A wave of exhaustion hit both of you visibly. That much energy and force into a jump took a lot out of you.

"If you want to stay with me in my little camp out you can, Y/N " Five said as he turned and walked around to his hideout.

"Thanks. I think I'll take you up on that"

You walked around and squeezed into a corner. You rolled a sleeping bag out that you had found earlier that day and shoved in your backpack. As soon as you laid down, sleep took you.
