ISABELLA WAS IN HER her room, doing some last minute packing as Cora sat on her bed while Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift played in the background.
The Cortez's were leaving for their yearly visit to the Scobell's beach house in Cousins beach. They had been going there as long as Isabella could remember.
Isabella walked over to her vanity to grab some of her jewelry. She look up to See a picture of her, her brothers and the Scobell siblings, smiling at it.
"I'm bumbed your missing beach matchup next weekend." cora complimed. "Drew said he's bumbed too."
"Hey, make sure you tell jules to square up for the block." Isabella said, ignoring her friends comment.
Cora sat uo straight, "Dude, Drew Smith Is texting me about you and you talking about volleyball?"
"Oh please, he does not care if i'm there or not. He just wants an excuse to text you." Isabella said, placing another shirt in her suitcase.
"Plus, this game it important. We have to take this game against the guys seriously. I mean, our pride is on the line, C."
"Please! You know I would never let a guy beat me at anything." Cora said, making her best friend laugh.
"Thought you came here to help me pack," Isabella said. "Fine. Here's a tip; Don't take that speedo. Makes it look like you're trying out for the swim team."
Isabella smiled at her friend, "Are you serious?" She said giggling. Isabella tackled her friend onto the bed and started fake hitting making both of them laugh.
"Isa! We're leaving in 10 minutes!" Clara, Isabella's mom, Called out. Isabell groaned and stood up.
"I gotta go, Cora."
The black haired girl grabbed her hand and pulled her back down, "No you don't! You have 10 minutes, bells."
"Alright, before I go, you have to tell me your summer wish. The one thing you want to happend this summer.
