(A/N: wrote this in response to summernight EP7... I just can't😭... I need an outlet. warning that it is angsty, especially at the start. If you have watched SMN, you know.🥺 There is slight mention of smut but really there isn't much. so don't expect much na😅)
Nothing, nothing could help him express the heartbreak he was going through. There was just no words for it. His family's indifference was something he grew into. He was used to it. But his friends, the friendship that he built was not.
Star helped him realized that he was more than the emptiness he felt. He was a person, a person that could be seen. It was hard to let her go but he could learn to accept it. Ivy made the process easier. He had never talked about his family to anyone. He didn't want stress them out with such heavy talk. When she mentioned she will pull him back whenever he felt like an outsider, he felt touched. But to learn that everything, everything he built was a lie... It was more than he could take. Lune's betrayal had hurt, it made him felt like a fool but Ivy... Ivy's betrayal crushed everything within him. The spark, the connection, the concern...
It was a lie all along?
All he felt was hollowness when she told him how much it hurt her to hurt him...
He couldn't, he just couldn't.
Why did she toy with him along with them?
He thought she was different, that she understood. It turn out to be a lie.
Tears blurred his vision, he didn't know how he got here but here he was at a bridge. He could hear the rush of the waters below.
Everything in his life is a lie...

"We'll split. See you back home!" Bison nodded to Fadel's instruction and made a run for it. It was a close call for them. While it was a clean kill, they had more bodyguards than anticipated. They had managed to disarm them and escaped but not unharmed. He had run quite a distance before he felt safe. He pulled out the dagger from his chest before throwing it into the river. He didn't expect the kid to show up. He don't think he noticed anything. The tears and sobbing was pretty telling. He wondered who hurt him at such a young age. It reminded him of his younger days but no matter how bad his days were, he still had Bison.
It was a little alarming to hear the hollow laughter coming out of him. When he grabbed hold of the railing, he shouted out for him, "Hooi, nong!"
Fadel's eyes widen when he saw the devastation on White's face. He wished he could wipe the hurt away. White was just confused as to who he was and why he was there.
"Nong, it' not worth it. Whatever it is, it's not worth it."
" How would you know what's worth it in my life? Everything in my life is a lie.... All a lie!! I have no one.... no one..." Fadel's heart clenched at his words.
"You have me... I'm right here. I'm right here... Share with me" White could see the earnest look on Fadel's face. While his heart tells him that he shouldn't let anyone in anymore, the warmth from Fadel's hand felt real to him. He all but clung onto Fadel like a lifeline as he sobbed his heart out. Fadel stroke the back of his head. He whispered nonsensical things to his ears, hoping to calm him down and support him through his tears. When the tears dried, White felt deflated. All he felt was exhaustion and emptiness within him. He apologized to Fadel for messing his shirt before he realized his own uniform had blood stain on it. That was when he realized that Fadel was bleeding through his black shirt.
"You're hurt, Phi! Let me grab something to clean your wound. Wait for me, phi" White was running before Fadel could stop him. He saw a bag of medical supply in White's hand.
