At the end of the day, Scott and Gordon's hanging was gone. They were both only needed on one rescue.
That evening, Scott, Gordon, Virgil and Alan sat in the lounge together.
Gordon: So Scott, tell me, if you like Marion why don't you ask her out?
Scott groaned and rolled his eyes
Scott: Gordon, not this again, please.
Gordon: I'm just saying.
Scott: ugh, I will ask her out... At some point.
Gordon: In your language, that's never.
Scott: I find it very ironic that you're telling me to ask Marion out, yet you haven't asked Penny out, nor have you made any attempts to.
Alan: Damn-
Virgil: Gordo, he's got a point there.
Gordon: This is not about me, this is about Scott and his inability to ask women out.
Scott: I can ask women out, I just haven't yet!
Gordon: well when will you?
Scott: Look, I don't know. When will you ask Penny out? Huh? Tell me.
Gordon: Um...soon!
Scott's phone buzzed
Alan: Who's that?
Scott checked his phone to see a message from Marion
Scott: It's Marion.
Gordon: What does it say?
Scott: ... "Hey, do you want to go out sometime??"
Gordon: Welp, guess she did it for you.
Scott: What should I say?
Virgil: We do you want to go on a date with her?
Scott: er, yeah.
Virgil: Then say yes. It's not that hard.
Scott: well I'm bad at this stuff.
Alan: sure are Sherlock-
Scott: Hey!
Scott texted Marion back, they arranged a date. Next week, Friday night. Scott knew how much teasing he would get from Gordon between now and then.
