"That's £3.80 please." I say as I dial in yet another order on the till. "Thankyou have a nice day." I pass the lady her cinnamon roll.
Just as I'm about to go on my break my best friend maddie comes bursting into the cafe,
"LILA GUESS WHAT." "Hmm you finally got a job?" "What ew no even better." She eagers. "I'm not sure just tell me." I laugh "I've got a date tonight!" She excitedly claps
I sigh as I walk out from behind the till and begin to pick up used plates. "Mads where did you meet this man." I asked suspiciously
"On a dating app." She answered. "Look you need to be careful I'm worried about you." "Thanks for your concern lovey but I'll be fine." She says as she pokes my side.
Maddie has severe ADHD so men tend to be put off by her behaviour, so when she came into the cafe so exited I couldn't tell her it was a bad idea meeting someone online alone.
"Where are you going?" I said trying not to ruin it for her. "A club on the Main Street." She said pouring herself a cup of coffee standing behind the counter.
"Look if you're so worried why don't you come with me." She reasoned "Because I don't fancy being the third wheel the whole night."
"Come on we can keep an eye out for some man candy for you, you need to get over ian." Her bringing up me ex bought back memories I didn't like.
"Okay okay fine."
"Yay come to mine at 6 to get ready love you." "Love you to" I say as she walks out the door.

"Fuc- plea please stop." The fucker whispers. "Not until you admit you killed him." I push harder on his stab wound I gave him.
"ok- okay I did I'm sorry." He sobs. "Piece of shit!" I say punching him.
I grab a cigar from my pocket, light it and tell my men to take him back to his cell.
"Okay man chill out what's on your mind."Alessio said, I sighed "I'm just mad he thought he could get away with killing Jace." Jace was one of my best and long serving men.
"Me too man, but tonight is going to be a great distraction okay." He puts his hand on my shoulder.
He's got a date today and he's forcing me to tag along for "character building" Dickhead.
"Fine I'll go get ready." I said walking off.

"How do I look?" Maddie asks as she did a little spin. She was wearing a glittery short blue dress with her long, brown hair curled, with silver hoops.
"You look stunning." I said honestly. I opted for a short black dress with gold heels, and my hair in a low bun.
"We need to leave though, TYLERRRR!" Maddie yells. "Jeez." I whisper holding my ear. "We're ready can you take us now." She asked her brother.
"Yea let's go." Tyler said grabbing his keys.

As we walk into the club I feel a sense of worry, it's so busy in here .
"I'll go get us drinks!" Mad yells over the music walking to the bar.
As I wait around my eyes lock on one particular person. He had the most amazing brunette hair pushed over to one side, green eyes, an impressively chiseled jawline and that smirk. Wow.
And just as I snapped out of my trans he was coming over. "Shit!" I said under my breathe.
"You know it's rude to stare amore." His rusty Italian voice echoed through me.
"Don't flatter yourself, I wasn't staring at you I was staring at that man behind you." I said trying to save myself.
He looks behind him.
"Now he's handsome." I said.
He let out a side laugh as we both look at an old man catching up with his wife.
"Woah I see what you mean." He smiles and turns back to me.
"So what brings you here?" He asks me.
"Oh I see how it is, I'm supposed to tell a stranger why I'm here, when I don't even know your name." I tease
"Lorenzo." He answered lighting a cigar
"Delilah." I reply.
"So bellissima will you answer me now?"
"My friend maddie is on a date I got forced to tag along." I say pointing to her dancing with her date, she forgot our drinks and found her way to him which I didn't mind.
"No shit, that's alessio my friend, I got forced to come too." He reply's pointing to the other person.
"What are the chances?" I reply
Maddie calls me over with our drinks finally and I take that as my que to go.
"Catch you later Enzo." I say
"Bye lila." He smiles
