I - Signals

"Look!" Alex said as his indexfinger pointed at a screen, turning her head Y/N walked over to her brother. Placing her eyes on the monitor her brother was pointing at, a dot was moving with a beeping sound following every move the dot made. "A signal?"

"And not only that, it seems to be from a new planet" Turning from the computer her eyes wandered over to the boy beside hers eyes, seeing the amazed look on his face and the even more fascinated glint in his eyes. She couldn't help but to worry about what this signal was about, was it a new danger on their way to their planet ready to destroy them? or a signal for help? What ever it was, she had the every right to be wary.

"What? A new planet? How's that possible?" Thinking back on the time he told her that their leader had destroyed every planet in the universe, that means this planet was very far away only to be discovered now. "Didn't we destroy every single one?"

"Slow down, slow down. One question at a time, I believe this is their first ever signal sent ever out to the universe. That's why we didn't know they even existed, remember the time I told you about how we can only see as many planets as we can sense?" She made a light 'oh' sound as she remembered what he said a few years ago. "This monitor shows us every planet in the entire universe. Our leader have ordered me to contact them as soon as a new signal is sent, so they can destroy that planet as fast as possible to oppose the danger to Zaphus. Though, there is a huge flaw in the system. There could be a planet right next to ours ready to send a nuke to destory us without the monitor picking up any sort of signal." He had stated as he showed her around their new work space.

She moved her gaze to the screen looking at the dot beeping, it seems to be quite a bit from Zaphus. This was one of the first signals the monitor had picked up in months, they both knew what they were gonna do. If they were to tell their leader right away, the planet would be gone by tomorrow and they both knew that. So, to feed their curiousity they always headed to the planet to have some fun and see what it was all about before shredding it into peices.

"Are you ready by tomorrow?" He asked his sister as his eyes finally found hers.

"Are you sending me down alone again?" She sighed in dissapointment as she thought that he would finally be joining her after years of going there alone and then him joining her after she sent a signal about it being safe.

"You know it's for both of our safety, I can bring you back in an instant if anything goes wrong and we can have fun as soon as we know its safe." Knowing it already was a good point she turned away from the monitor to look at him in the eyes. "Yes I'm ready to go tomorrow, are you gonna be up all night fixing the devices for me before I go?"

"You know I will" He stated as he stood up from his chair making it spin around a little from the sudden movement. Making his way over to another desk he picked up one device inspecting it before picking up a tool with the other hand.

"Do you think it's a dangerous typ of signal?" She said leaning against the desk with the monitor on top, her voice having the first sign of any feeling in it during the whole conversation. Her brother only chuckled as he shook his head. "I have no clue and you know that"

Only sighing at his usual answer she made her way out of the dark room, leaving her brother to work on the devices required for her survival on another planet in peace. Walking up the stairs she opened up the door leading to the long corridor in their current housing, she walked over to a door on the left side of the corridor, slamming the door shut behind her. Now in her room she walked over to her mirror, taking her hair brush from the side table on the way there. She stood there for a while brushing her hair, humming a childhood lullaby as she always did when thinking, it had became a habit of hers from when she was very little. As her mother always brushed her hair while humming a sweet lullaby that always helped her clear her head.

Y/N woke up by a big thud coming from downstairs, sighing she couldn't help but be worried about what her brother dropped now. From the big thud she could only guess it was one of the charging mechanics that charged one of the batterys for a device she needed on her trip. She lifted her arms and streched out her legs getting in a good strecht for the day before walking out of bed. She made her way towards her bathroom, setting up a bath for herself as the water flowed into the large tub, her hands went down to her pajama shirt pulling it off. Getting the rest of her pajama off, she put a foot into the bath feeling the warmth as the rest of her body sunk into the water bellow her. Leaning back into the tub she closed her eyes, relaxing her whole body. She had to get ready to face what ever could be on that new planet, thinking about all the possibilities of what could happen there as all the information they could get from the monitor was the planets coordinates. I wonder if the time moves faster there or not...

When she was done bathing she made her way over towards her closet, getting some clothes out wondering if it was cold or warm there in the process. In the end she picked light clothes with a warm jacket and pants on top that she could easily take off depending on the climate. Brushing her hair she hummed that sweet lullaby once again to calm her nervs before the long journey began. Her hand halted in the air as she heard a knock on the door, not giving her any say the person made their way into her room. Y/N put down the brush in her hand before turning around facing the figure which had just entered her room. 

"Everything is ready for take off." The man before her stated, only nodding her head she turned around again looking into her mirror. Wrapping both her hands around her hair she started braiding it, thinking back on the first time she went down on another planet. Her hair was a huge mess after falling in the air and ever since then she braided her hair and that fixed her problems completely. She did her hair pretty quickly as she had become quite good with hair since her mother had taught her almost everything since a young age. She took one last glance at herself in the mirror before smiling slightly, proud of her cute braid before turning to the man behind her.

"let's go." She walked past him making her way down into their work space, Alex only following suit, closing the doors behind him. They both stood in their work space as a heavy silence dawned upon them, the reality kicking in as another mission had started. Her brother walked his way over to a computer, clicking some buttons that Y/N couldn't care less about at the moment. She walked over to the door leading to her vehicle that would transport her from her homeland to whatever coordinates was written on it's destination. Looking at the two seats infront of her from the time they both went on these types of trips togheter she could only sigh as she plopped her butt down on the seat in the front, clicking on the large on button and a few smaller buttons she got ready for take off. Alex made his way over to her putting in the destination on a small screen to her right on the vehicle, he soon made his way over to another desk. Getting all of the needed devices he grabbed them walking over to Y/N he handed them over as she quickly put them on, a translator device on her right hip that allowed her to transfer any kind of languge the device heard into her head, a parachute on her back just in case the vehicle decided she was going to land in the air as it had happened before and last but not least, a small device on her left hip that was garanteed to send a signal up to the monitor which sensed signals in their work space. She took a deep breath in and out as she took one last look on her brothers face.

"It's gonna go great." He assured her as he knew that she was nervous as always, she only nodded upon hearing his words that didn't assure her one bit.

"I'm gonna miss you"

"I'll miss you too" She smiled to her brother taking yet again a deep breath in and out as she turned her head forward, her grip tightening onto the steeringwheel which the vehicle acctually didn't need but it was ther just in case something actually happened and she would have to steer to a safe place. Her brother closed the door to the vehicle making sure to tighten the extra strap outside. The vehicle started counting down from then as her brother pushed a button on the computer beside it. taking one last look on the coordinates that was the destination she could only hope that wasn't in the air or under ground somewhere.

BOOM!

The vehicle made an abrupt stop, crashing into a tree. Her head shoot forward bumping into the steering wheel hard, the girl in her seat quickly took her seat belt off jumping down from the vehicle. Only when she had made contact with the air she noticed how far up she was, she didn't quite register falling before she saw how close the ground suddenly was. Her hand reaching onto her back as fast as it could, grabbing onto the string to pull her parachute out. Managing to pull it and get it out a few seconds before her feet hit the ground, the parachute only managing to save the fall a little bit. Y/N made contact with the ground, falling as soon as she did so. The parachute falling onto her as her hand reached up to her head only to see blood on her hands soon after. Looking around she noticed the non stop white landscape as white tiny flakes fell from the sky, she had never seen such beauty before. Her blood covered hand reached out to one of the white falling things, trying to catch it, but as soon as she did catch it bringing it towards her face wanting to look at it- it was gone. Frowning as her head started to lighten, the crash finally kicking in as she fell unconscious. Falling onto the white covered ground, her blood seeping into the white substance making it glitter with a light blue tint.
