The Cursed Scar

Potter manor

Charlus Arcturus Abraxas and Severus entered the hall. Everyone looked up as they entered and sat up straight. Charlus took his usual armchair. There was silence for sometime as everyone calmed themselves.

"well? How did it go?" Tiberius asked after 5 minutes.

"very well. Managed to kick Dumbledore out of our family buissness for the time being, though he is bound to try and play dirty to get the boys. No need to worry though. I have a surprise planned for him should he even try that."Charlus replied slowly, his eyes still closed.

"I think I should better compile the –ah–'reports' on the dark and light faction then." Arcturus said. "I will take leave. Don't hesitate to call if the need arises, Charlus."

"of course arc" Charlus stood up and gave him a brief one armed hug.

"I better arrange the gray faction meeting" Abraxas said. He too took his leave. Now only the potter family, Severus and Sirius remained.

"so how are Lily and James?" Charlus asked finnaly.

"James has an injury on his head, while Lily narrowly missed hitting the killing curse. Both can be fine in about one or two month." Dorea replied.

Get some rest Dorea. We have a long day tomorrow." Charlus said. Dorea nodded and went to her room.

"what I do not understand , is that when the sacrificial ritual was not complete, how did the boys come out alive?" Sirius voiced the question that had been nagging him for a while.

"well , the ritual was very complex. Even Lily did not understand it fully. Maybe something went amiss ." Tiberius replied to the question.

" we need to scan the boys thoroughly before they wake up. For all we know, they might have been affected by the dark magic." Severus said at once.

They all nodded and went towards the boys' room . Tiberius and Sirius started scanning harry while Charlus and Severus scanned alex.

Tiberius delved deeper and deeper into the core of the boy. From the quick scans he had found out that the scar was a magical one, but it had a dark aura surrounding it. That was the reason he had scanned the boy personally. He had the widest knowledge of dark arts one could possess. He delved into the magic of the boy. What he found made him jump out in fury. Charlus stared at him. He had never seen Tiberius show any emotions before that. To see him jump in fury surprised him very much.

"what is it." Charlus asked cautiously. Instead of replying , Tiberius again closed his eyes and again started his core scan. This time he reached towards the scar. And what he discovered, made him livid as well as afraid. He again jumped from the bed and started pacing the room running fingers through his hair and all the while saying things like 'no' AND 'this can't be true' AND 'how dare he'

"are you okay son?" Charlus aksed , now afraid himself. If it could make Tiberius riddle loose control, then he shuddered to think what it could be.

Finnaly Tiberius stopped and turned to face his father. Taking a deep breathe he began. " I have two news for you. One is normal while the other one is a theory. The normal news is that Dumbledore has blocked 80% of this boy's magical power , including some natural powers. The other one," he paused for a moment " is that when my dear brother turned his wand on these boys, their magical cores were protected from any damage by I do not know what. But that protection caused the killing curse to rebound on voldemort. He ought to have been killed on the spot, but he was not. Because if he was killed, his corpse would have been there at the cottage. He kind of disappeared. I have a suspicion. I will come to that later. But the point is, when he became a mere shadow, a part of his soul detached from him and latched itself to harry's scar. That can only happen when the soul is highly unstable. And that only happens when the soul has been split to its maximum limit. So if I am correct, my brother has made horcruxes , and harry's scar houses a piece of his soul, which means, harry is also a horcrux, a tie that binds my brother to the living world."
