Chapter 11
There is no pressure to act coquettishly

Su Jinsheng was stunned: "Are you lying to me? Your head is bleeding?"

Seeing her father's worried look, Xiaoxiao felt guilty and whispered, "Dad, this is not blood, it's red medicine." Fearing that her father would scold her mother, she hurriedly added, "This is all my idea and has nothing to do with my mother."

Su Jinsheng still didn't believe it, so he reached out and touched his daughter's head: "So you didn't fall?"

Xiaoxiao: "I did fall, but it wasn't that serious."

Su Jinsheng thought of the medical record in his hand, flipped it open and took a closer look, but still didn't believe it: "How could it be fake? Isn't it clearly written in the medical record? Mild concussion tendency, hospitalization is recommended for examination." Then he remembered something and said softly: "Don't worry, Xiaoxiao, Dad Qian has it here, let's get treatment first."

Xiaoxiao knew that her father had misunderstood her and thought that she didn't want to see a doctor because she was worried that her family didn't have enough money. She simply raised her hand to remove the gauze on her head and moved closer to her father: "It's really not broken. If you don't believe me, take a look."

Su Jinsheng really lifted up his daughter's head and checked it carefully. As expected, he found no wound. The forehead that had just been bandaged with blood was also smooth, without even a scratch on the skin.

Su Jinsheng was relieved when he found out that he was really lying. He patted his daughter on the head and said, "Girl, you can't just make up stories like this. I was really scared when I received the call from the hospital. Fortunately, nothing serious happened. I'm so lucky. Don't joke about this kind of thing anymore. Do you understand?"

Xiaoxiao was a little surprised: "Dad is not angry? Did I lie to you?"

Su Jinsheng smiled: "Why are you angry? You are my daughter, and as a father, you know your temper. If there is no reason, my daughter will not lie."

Xiaoxiao couldn't help but feel touched. As expected, her father had doted on her and believed in her for decades. Such a father made her want to throw herself into his arms and act like a spoiled child. However, as a girl in her forties, she felt embarrassed to act like a spoiled child.

She suddenly remembered that she was only fifteen and still a little girl. There was nothing to worry about. She could act coquettishly in front of her dad without any pressure. Thinking of this, she threw herself into her dad's arms and rubbed him hard. She thought to herself, why did the smell of gasoline and engine oil mixed on her dad smell so good?

Su Jinsheng felt warm inside when his daughter hugged and rubbed him like a spoiled child. His daughter used to act like this when she was little. The soft and cuddly little girl would snuggle into his arms and call "Daddy" in a baby voice, which made his heart soften. He wished he could give his daughter all the best things in the world. But when she grew up, she no longer snuggled into his arms and acted like a spoiled child.

Although Su Jinsheng knew that his daughter would be like this when she grew up, he still couldn't help feeling disappointed. After all, in the eyes of a father, no matter how old she was, she was always that delicate and lovely daughter. He was as conflicted as all fathers. He hoped that his daughter would grow up, but he also didn't want her to grow up. But his daughter would grow up eventually.

Even though she threw herself into his arms and acted coquettishly like when she was a child, Su Jinsheng knew clearly that his daughter was a grown-up girl. Su Jinsheng was honest, but honesty did not mean stupidity. In fact, he knew in his heart that his mother favored her younger brother's family, and his wife and daughter suffered a lot of grievances because of this. But he always thought that it was not easy for his mother to raise several children in those difficult years. He was also the eldest in the family, and as the eldest, he had to act like an eldest. There was no need to compete with his brothers. He should give in when he could. After all, they were a family. There was no point in arguing about how much was more or less. It was better to live happily in harmony.
