Janus Stewart: 7y/o

Janus was running around the small maze in the garden, that was made for him. He was trying to shake off the family guard Fernandez so he could go play with his pet cat, Misery. After successfully getting Fernandez off his tail, Janus walks to the rarely attended part of the garden filled with withered rose bushes his father had ordered to be planted as a public stunt after marrying their mother. How does he know that? He came across old news archives in his father's studies.

From a very young age, Janus knew that he was special. His father adored him, and his mother did everything in her power to please him, so she could earn father's affection. The servants listened to his every command, no matter how ridiculous. He hasn't met his sisters properly, but he sensed their jealousy. Apparently, their father was at least somewhat interested in them before his birth, but after his birth, both their parents had become his and his parent only. He loved it, so he said nothing. He didn't care enough to win over the affection of his sisters. He needs at least some toys around to keep him entertained. But he never gets to see them because they're always busy. It also seemed like the youngest one, Alice, actively avoided him. HE let it be for now. HE'LL catch her soon. But for now, he directed his attention to his pet cat.

He had reached his destination. His dear pet Misery lay panting in her cage a size too small for her frame. Her big belly was pressed painfully against the metal cage.

She was close to giving birth.

Janus noticed this, so he let her out. Immediately Misery got out and tried to get away from him. But she was in too much of a vulnerable position to do so. The poor cat could only cower in fear and hope that the two-legged demon would spare her for today.

It's been two weeks since a maid brought it to him. He had specifically ordered his care maid to bring him a stray whenever he asked. They didn't know where he kept it or what he did to them, but they knew it wouldn't do them any good if they refused, so they complied. But this time when she brought it to him, she cautioned him, "This one is pregnant".

"You mean she's going to give birth to baby kittens?" he asked as if making an observation. The maid nodded feebly.

"Wonderful, I was just getting bored of normal cats. I'll ask Father to give you a bonus during the holiday season. The maid thanked her master and went away, but she was not at all happy about the bonus when all she could think about was what her master was going to do to the cat. But she dares not voice her concerns. This whole house and the people in it belonged to Senator Stewart, and Senator Stewart adored his youngest child, Janus Stewart. Questioning his actions would mean getting fired, and for her getting fired would be equivalent to death.

Janus knew that. He smiled thinking of his maid's frightened expression. He wanted to see more but that could wait. Misery was more important now.
