Beneath The Surface

In the quiet of my room,
shadows strech long,
Whispers from a
Dark place linger and throng.
A weight that's not mine,
But pulls me down.
In a silence that screames,
A muffled sound.

The mirror holds my gaze,
But I see a ghost,
A face i barely know,
A soul engrossed.
Echoes of a night
Thatblurs with haze,
Where hands become chains,
And i lost my way.

Beneath the surface,
A storm brews fierce,
Ripples on a pond
Where no light pierces.
Eyes that used to dance
Now stare, cold.
A story untold,
Where wounds unfold.

I walk through days
Like pages torn.
In a book that's unread,
Yet forlom.
A heart that beats
With a rhythm unknown.
In the quiet solace, I'm alone.
