"G-girlfriend?" everyone gasped.

"I-It's not true. W-we're just childhood friends," Kagami stuttered.

"Why are you being so shy about us, Honey?" I said with a wicked smile. "Is it becuase you actually don't like me?" I added a whimper.

"I...uh...um." He gulped.

"I was joking, Kagami! I know you couldn't resist my amazing charms," I stated. "I must apologize," I added, turning towards the group of people. "I am not Kagami's girlfriend. I am nothing but his childhood friend. The only reason I said that was because before coming in here he told me not to embarrass him. I wasn't even thinking of such a thing, but that was until he told me not to do it. I truly am sorry. My joke was of poor taste."

"It's fine. Just surprising, is all," the girl said. "Oh, how rude of me! My name's Aida Riko. The man who asked you that impertinent question is named Hyūga Junpei. And, everyone, since we all know Alex's name, why don't we all share ours? Roll call!"

"The name's Kiyoshi Teppei," said a tall man. I swear I've seen him somewhere before but I just can't put my finger on it.

"Izuki Shun. Nice to meet you."

"Mitobe Rinnosuke."

"Koganei Shinji. Nice ta meet ya!"

"My name's Tsuchida Satoshi."

"Furihata Kōki."

"Kawahara Kōichi."

"Fukuda Hiroshima."

"Kuroko Tetsuya."

Wait, did someone just say Kuroko?

"Um, did someone just say Kuroko Tetsuya?" I asked.

"Yes, I did," a voice replied. I turned towards the voice, taking a step in the process, but was stopped by something hard. I looked up to see that it was in fact the blue haired boy from this morning. A smile crept onto my face.

"Kuroko, we must stop meeting like this. People will talk." I chuckled.

"I agree. Always meeting like this isn't ideal" he replied.

"I see you've already met my friend, Kuroko," Kagami burst in. "So, what was that whole thing about people will talk if we continue to meet like this?" Kagami continued.

"That's kind of a long story," I replied.

"I've got time," he answered back.

"No, you don't. You have a practice, remember?" I re-informed Kagami.

I tried pushing Kagami towards his team, but he defiantly stood his ground.

"Kagami! You have practice, you have to go. It would be rude of you to be late to practice when you asked the rest of your team to start practise later then usual" I told.

"I know!!! But you will tell me after practice. You will do that right?" he questioned.

"Of course...assuming you can score twenty baskets by yourself," I retorted.

"I'm gonna make you eat those words!" he cried, rushing over to the rest of the team.

Once Kagami rejoined the mass of people merged together at the far end of the gym, I realized something. Kuroko and I are the only people left on this side of the gym. Kuroko then suddenly asked me a question "What brings you to our club?"

"Haven't you heard? I'm hear to observe," I answered.

"I know that. But to me you seem like someone who is here for more than merely observing people's basketball," Kuroko hinted.
