I hear a distant sound blaring into my ears, disturbing my sleep. It was quite early, or at least for me.

It was a Saturday morning, 8:25AM.
I knew that I would regret staying up so late last night and on a work night. I tossed myself to the right side of my bed so I wouldn't be facing the wall anymore. I stretched my arms and legs out straight, which gave me the best stretch ever possibly known to mankind. I rolled out of the bed effortlessly, dragging the blankets off the bed with me.

I didn't even care to pick up the blankets as I fell. I fell into a kneeling position towards my nightstand, which was where my phone was emitting the sound from. I opened my eyes, slapped the phone a couple of times until I hit the button to turn it off. I slid my phone off of the nightstand and held it in my hands after I rubbed my eyes opens. I read the bubbles on the screen, below the time which read, "3 new messages." I was too preoccupied by the thought of not being able to fall back asleep, so I slammed my phone on my bed.

I looked around my room, seeing some of my clothes hung next to my jackets and some of my bags. On the floor, which wasn't very dirty, I saw one of my clean white shirts lying there. I picked it up and threw it on my bed and a baggy pair of jeans, also a navy green zip up jacket that was hanging on one of the hooks near my mirror. I slid the clothes on, brushed my hair, teeth, and slid my shoes on. I shoved a stick of gum in my mouth just in case any ladies come up to me. If you know, you know.

I grabbed my phone and glanced at the date as I chewed the spearmint flavored gum. "Oh, it's October Eleve..." I stared at the date in disbelief. I stared all over the screen, little did I know it read "Weather for tomorrow, October eleventh." For the last time, I recognized what it said and took a deep sigh.

I called off for work since I needed to catch the flight today, I could meet up with everyone at the hotel. That is if anyone would even show up. I threw some clothes, a razor, deodorant, and my toothbrush into a duffle bag. I also brought my laptop for schoolwork. I slid my wallet into my back jeans pocket and my phone in the right front pocket of my jacket. I walked out of the dormitory building, and to the parking lot. I drive an old beige Toyota Prius from 2002. It drives well and has good gas mileage so I won't complain.

It takes about 35 minutes to get to the Nova Scotia airport, and luckily for me the traffic wasn't bad at all. On the other hand, the airport was busy as ever. It's usually always busy because I don't think a lot of people want to live in Nova Scotia.

As I arrived at my gate area, I parked in a parking lot near the gate from the outside. I slammed the door shut and speed walked to the gate. My leather duffle bag was hanging off of my left shoulder. Once I entered the door, I read the TV that said the plane would board in 5 minutes. I sighed drastically as I sat down in a cushioned chair that was connected to about 5 other chairs.

"Now boarding row 2. Now boarding row 2." Well, that was me. I trudged behind about 5 other people before the rest followed behind me. As I gave the woman my boarding ticket, she gave me a funny look.

"Cody Emmett Jameson Anderson?" She said as she raised a brow, slowly looking back up to me after reading the ticket. "Yes, that's me. The one and only." I smiled but without my teeth. The lady squinted her eyes at me, a few seconds later it faded away. "Sounds familiar. Well, have a good flight." She smiled as she handed me the boarding ticket back.

I smiled back at her slightly, confused what was going on. I'm assuming she watched total drama since she said my name sounded familiar, or she actually knows someone with the name, "Cody Emmett James Anderson."

I walked down the plane aisle. People were shoving their luggage's into the cabinets above their seats. I waited till most of the people had already shoved their belongings in the compartments before I did so myself. It's actually a lot more confusing than it looks. I almost dropped my luggage on a smokin' hot chick below me! Let's hope she doesn't recognize me from my appearance.

I fell asleep for about a good hour, which meant we had about another hour before landing. Around 15 minutes after I woke up, there was so much turbulence. I felt like I was going to throw up, or maybe something even worse. I guess world tour never wore off on me with the whole airplane turbulence thing.

I realized that the flight attendants had already handed out the drinks and snacks so I knew I would be somewhat hungry when we landed.

We landed around 11:30AM and when I tell you the Toronto airport is busy, I mean it. I've never seen an airport so busy! There were numerous food restaurants and gift shops in the airport.

I walked out of the airport with my duffle bag in one hand and phone in the other. I sat on a bench near the pickup area outside. I pulled out my laptop to look at the email to see the location of the hotel. I skimmed through half of the email until I actually found the location. Jeez Chris! Did you have to write so much? I finally found the address and there was actually a taxi service that would take you just to the hotel.

"Stop for Hilton hotel!" The man outside yelled. Hey, that was me! As I approached the taxi, the man who was driving rolled down his window. "8 bucks." He said to me, his expression deadpan. "Alright." I dug around my pockets for my wallet and pulled out my old, brown, leather wallet. "You said 8, right?" I tried to fill the awkward silence. Though it really wasn't that silent because of the people talking and the sound of car engines running. "Yes, eight Canadian dollars." I could tell he was annoyed. I pulled out 10 bucks from my wallet and handed it to the man.

"Keep the change." I said as nicely as I could. The man looked at me for about a good 2 seconds and smiled lightly. I opened the door on the left side after walking away from the driver's window. The car had a grey interior, much better than my dinky Toyota. I looked around the car, it was sort of like an SUV.  I looked out the right-side window to see, a man running towards the car. He had about 10 bucks in his hand. He was running towards this car like he wouldn't have another day to live.

"WAIT!" The guy called. The man who was driving the taxi looked up at him. "I wasn't planning on leaving for another 5 minutes." The driver said in annoyance as he picked at his nails. "Oh. At least I'm here! I wouldn't want to be here right after you left and ride in one of those nasty busses." The guy said as he moved the money in his hands as he talked. The guy had on a red shirt with khaki pants on. A grey hoodie was accompanied by his red shirt. He had brown hair, and he sort of looked like, a goat?

"How much?" The grey hoodie guy said. He was literally panting in the drivers face at this point. "Eight bucks." The driver held his hand out, he opened and closed his hand several times motioning the guy to give him the money.

"Here." Grey hoodie slapped the 10 dollars onto the driver's hand effortlessly as he turned to open the car door. His grip from the car door softened as he released and went to throw his stuff in the trunk. After, he came back to open the car door. He plopped down right next to me. He slowly turned his head towards me, "Oh. Did you see all that dude?" He said, as he scratches the back of his neck.

"Yes." I looked back at the guy. He looked oddly familiar. I was thinking about asking him what his name was, but he told me his name before I could even ask. "I'm Tyler." He reached out his hand to shake mine. His hand looked sweaty, but I didn't care. I stared at him and squinted my eyes before I shook his hand back. "Cody. Cody Anderson." I said as I firmly shook his hand before sliding it away. Tyler furrowed his brows as the driver started to drive towards the hotel. "Wait, wait, wait, wait." He said as he backed his hands back each time he said wait. "What? Oh, Cmon! Please don't tell me you know someone with my name." I spoke
with a deadpan expression, but also with hints of worry.

"No! That name just sounds familiar." He said laughing awkwardly. "You do look familiar too. Do I know you?" He said as he tilted his head and laughed.  I looked at him and gazed my eyes up and down at his appearance. "Better question is do I know you?"

A/N: YAY! I'm so happy with this first chapter. Let me know if this was too long but I think it's perfect. This plot is way too good right now... I'm hoping to at least get 1-2 chapters done a week. This depends on the amount of time I have daily for writing. Most of the chapters will be this long. I usually won't have "checkup" chapters. (Usually means I wont.) Anyway, this'll just all be book! Thanks for reading!!! 💗🎀
