"The better question is, do I know you?" I said looking at him raising a brow, but also smiling at him.
He looked at me and bursted out laughing. "Sorry dude. I think I know why I find you familiar." He slapped his knee, and grabbed his phone from out of his pocket. He started to type like crazy! He slowly smirked at the photo on his screen before showing it to me. "Is this you, man?" He showed me a picture of me from 8 years ago. Yep, you guessed it! 16 year old, Cody Anderson.
I stared at the screen and zoomed in on the guy in the red tracksuit who was standing next to me in the photo. "I'm assuming thats you? In 2007?" He nodded his head, then shook my shoulders. "Thought I would never see you again, Codester!" I laughed at his actions. "Well here I am, flesh and blood!" I chuckled as he slid his hands off my shoulders.
Tyler and I talked a bit more before the driver arrived at the hotel. "Thanks for the eventful ride." The driver said as he chuckled before he opened the trunk. "No, thank you for putting up with us." I smiled as I went around and got my baggage before Tyler went around to grab his.
I rose my hand and waved goodbye to the driver before he took off back to the airport. I turned towards Tyler, he was standing behind me with a terrible posture. "You think anyone else will be here?" I said as I turned around to look at Tyler who was obviously looking around for someone. "Probably," He looked back at me. "Who wouldn't wanna come to a free, 5 star, rated hotel in Toronto?" He chuckled lightly.
"Maybe, but, what if they think they will all just get pulled into another season?" I say worried but with a hint of curiosity as we walk through the hotel doors.
Tyler gave me a really sarcastic look which from him was pretty rare. "Dude. We are 23, we aren't teenagers anymore. We would probably end up breaking our backs." He said as we walked up to the front desk together. I nodded my head slowly. Tyler threw his baggage on the floor and flopped his hands on the front desk.
"Hi." Tyler said before looking at the woman at this front desk. She had a red dress on and a big silver necklace. "Hi!" She said happily as she clicked her fingers on her keyboard. She slowly looked up at Tyler. "What's a good name for you?" This time she had a bright smile on her face before asking the question.
"Tyler Kenard." He said with a smile but not as big as the ladies. "Alright Tyler. You'll be on floor 2 room 104. That is a king suite, is that okay?" She said as she payed zero attention to Tyler and most of it towards her computer. "Yes. Is that all?" He said as politely as he could, but I think she took it as sarcasm.
"Yes. Have a good day." She smiled again but this time it seemed more sarcastic. Tyler moved aside before grabbing his bags. I walked up, leaving my bags by Tyler, and stood at the front desk.
"Good name for ya, hun?" I looked up at her and said calmly, "Cody Anderson." I stared at my feet, then back up to her when she asked me another question. "Is floor 3 room 211 okay? It's a king suite just like your friends over there." She pointed over to Tyler who was watching something on the TV. It looked like Zoolander was playing and Tyler was very invested.
I removed my gaze from Tyler and back to the woman. "Yeah, thats good." I smiled with absolutely no effort. "Alright, have a nice night. Here is that young mans key as well. I forgot to him it." She palmed her forehead jokingly and gave me my key and Tylers.
I grabbed my baggage near Tyler before we got onto the elevator. "Heres your key," I stared at his key before giving him it. "Floor 2, eh?" I said as I gave him the key before nudging his shoulder. "Yeah, what floor are you?" I couldn't really hear him because the music in the elevator was louder than his voice. I was able to understand most of it though. "Bummer! I'm floor 3. We will have to meet up tonight and hang out man!" I said as I sighed dramatically and scratched the back of my head.
"Definitely." The elevator stopped at Tylers floor. Tyler handed me a piece of paper with his number on it. "Whenever we meet up with everyone, or when you're done unpacking text me! This place is so cool, we should definitely walk around dude." Tyler moved his hands around a lot when he said that, I just nodded to every word he said and waves him bye for now.
Next stop, floor 3. AKA, my floor. Tyler wasn't even wrong, this hotel is humongous! I can't wait to meet up with everyone. Let's hope I can remember everyone before tonight.
