EDITORS NOTE: I'm sorry it's taken me so long to update, but life happens, and I've been super busy. I hope you like this new chapter!

The taste of a thick coppery substance filled her mouth as she gripped tightly to the wrist that was pressed against her lips, she couldn't get enough as she sucked hard. “That's it, drink.” The voice encouraged and she looked up only to be met with a monster staring back at her with yellow eyes and fangs dripping with blood..

Bella awoke with a panicked intake of breath. Her stomach protesting the gruesome images of her nightmare and she forced herself out of the chair she must have passed out in, bolting for the bathroom. After dry heaving for a while it was clear that nothing was going to come up, probably due to the fact that she hadn't really eaten much. She splashed some water onto her face and brushed her teeth real quick before returning back to her bedroom. She barely registered that her cellphone was ringing. When her dad had come home around dinner time yesterday with some food from Carvers, he had her jacket with him. Apparently Jessica was there with her parents and had given it to him, she hadn't really paid much attention after hearing Jessica's name. But at least she had her stuff back.

Walking over to her nightstand where her phone was charging, she picked it up and answered it. “Hey stranger.” Only her mom could put so much guilt into a simple greeting. “Hey mom, I'm getting ready for school..” She tried to say but her mother cut in. “You seem so distant Bella. You hardly ever respond to my messages. Is he turning you against me?” Bella could tell that her mother was having another flare-up. She couldn't deal with this right now, not after.. NO, she couldn't go there right now. Not when she had to hold it together to get through school. “No mom. I can't do this right now, I have to go.” And with that she ended the call. She felt a little guilty, but she was barely holding it together as it was.

Making quick work of getting dressed, she was already out of the house not long after. Being alone in the house made her feel anxious now, a feeling that wasn't just going to disappear over night.

Arriving at the Fork's High parking lot she parked in her usual spot, resting her head along the back of the seat bracing herself for the day when a loud noise made her jump out of her skin. It had only been a car door closing. Sighing as she tried to get her heart to stop pounding at her chest. “Get ahold of yourself.” And she grabbed her bag and forced herself to get out of the truck.

It was strange how everything seemed so normal, and yet felt different in a way. All around her life was just going on as usual without a care in the world. But everything wasn't normal and it never would be again. No one knew.

“Hey, Bella.” Angela greeted her as she got on campus. “Hey.” Was all Bella said in return, she didn't know if she could trust her anymore, if she had any involvement in Jessica and Lauren leaving her stranded. “I tried calling you. My grandmother is going to be alright.” She continued but seemed to notice something. “Are you alight? Are you getting sick?” She genuinely looked concerned and Bella just nodded her head as the words “You can't tell anyone.” Rang in her mind.  “Food poisoning. I should really get to class.” And without waiting for a response she turned and began walking away.

Her next couple of classes went by in a blur, she hadn't even realized just how dissociated she had become until Mike was snapping his fingers in front of her face. “Earth to Bella, it's lunch time.” Bella blinked a couple of times as if she had just woken up. “Sorry.” She said gathering her things. “Mrs. Goff isn't that boring.” He teased and they walked towards the cafeteria together. “I think today is pizza, what are you going to get?” The idea of eating still left her stomach in knots. “I'm not really hungry.” Mike eyed her suspiciously but didn't press it. “I'll see you at the table then.” And he went to go wait in line. Bella looked over at their usual spot and seeing Jessica and Lauren sitting there laughing made a flash of anger rise in her and she made to leave the cafeteria. Angela must have noticed this cause she came after her. “Hey, what's wrong?” Maybe it was the lack of sleep or the fact that she hadn't eaten much in the passed couple of days, but the words that came out of her were cold. “Why don't you go ask your friends.” And with that she turned and left, leaving Angela with a worried and confused look on her face.
