When we came down for breakfast, I felt the air suck out of the room. I gritted my teeth as all eyes fell on us. Ash proudly walked over to the bar, and started helping himself. When he was done, and had a full plate, I started dishing out a normal amount of food. I kept glancing at Ash, making sure on the way to the table he doesnt drop anything or no body takes my seat next to him.
"Today, I would like to give a special thanks to Mallow! For preparing this meal!" Serena said, over the speaker. Everyone started fussing over the blushing greenhaired girl. I smiled, and sat down next to Ash. He gave me a quick grin before he started plowing through his food.
Serena sat down in her usual seat, next to Lillie. Lillie was gracefully eating her food. I have recently noticed how Mallow treats Lillie. I have seen A spark between them. I really need to shut down my gaydar because its almost never accurate.. Well... It was for Chloe... And Dawn... But I was wrong about Ash.
Today, I decided, I was going to befriend one of Ash's male companions. Why did that sound so formal? Ugh. Okay. So who is my type? I looked at Clemont. He looked really nice. He had blonde hair, erm.... Okay? I prefer darker hair. He also had blue eyes, they looked really nice, but more common shades catch my attention. His skin was pale, as if he doesn't go outside often. Thats... Okay? To be honest, he seems a lot more like me than someone I'd date. Wait- what if Ash likes him?!
"Goh?" Ash asked. I looked at him and hummed in acknowledgment. "What are you looking at?" He asked, suspiciously. I smiled, "Nothing. How are those scones?"
His face lit up as he shoved his last, glacy, powdery scone into his mouth, "Oh my gosh it tastes so good!" He swallowed, "These are my favorite food!" He said, licking his finger. I smiled. I'm glad he's having a good time. To be honest, I am too! Its just Ash almost refuses to leave my side, and i want to approach people by myself. Sure he helped me meat his family, and I have met the others before, its just it seems more like acquaintances then actually being friends. If I were to live with these people for a long time, I want to get to know them.
"I'm glad!" I smiled, taking a bite of mine. I wondered what we will be doing today. Maybe Serena had something in mind. Serena wasn't in charge, but she really wants us all to be close friends, so she plans things every day. Its all optional, and its usually something fun! I couldn't think of anything to do, so I'm hoping she does.
Ash watched me eat, which made me awkwardly slow down. His amber eyes were fixated on mine. What was going on in his brain? I bet an overwhelmingly ton of crap was happening in there. I smiled at him, and he looked away, scratching his behind his head.
"So, what do you guys think about going to the arcade today?" Serena asked, in an excited voice. That actually sounded fun! I know Ash would love it. I looked at him, and he was giving me a hopeful look. He doesn't need me to come along for him to go. He's so silly.
"I think I want to go! Do you?" I asked, with a smile. He nodded, his eyes shining. After that, people started getting up, and as they past us, people starting asking Ash questions.
"So Ash, is the rumor true? Out of my full respect." Kiawe asked, with a smile. Here we go...
"Uhm... Which one?" Ash asked, pretending to be dumb.
"Well... Serena said... You're gay?" Iris asked, A little unsurely.
"Oh- yeah.... That's right. Yeah, I am" Ash said, his cheeks flushing. I just stared in awe.
Misty ruffled Ash's hair, "I knew you were gay!" She grinned down at him.
Ash laughed, "Since when?!"
