The Past is Our Present

7000 years ago.

     Selene, a young Greek goddess always felt at home on Earth as every night she would always look up at exactly these coordinates. The moon wasn't just an object, but her whole existence...her way of life. The other gods would always smirk behind her back, thinking her behavior was strange. I mean, how could something be so special? It's nothing but a worthless object to them. To her it was everything.  Oh, how she wished she could leave and never return to Earth again. Why couldn't she be a goddess and rule from above like her sibling? Was it because of her duties as a goddess? Was it because someone in her family was already ruling a ways away? It was unbeknownst to her.
As the young goddess grew older, she knew her longing for the moon only increased. It was becoming difficult to stay here, she felt drowned out, exhausted, but knew she could do so much more.
It took decades during this millennia to get just the right amount of people to move to the moon with her, not only that, but to gain enough experience to rule a whole civilization up in the heavens.
She pleaded to all the gods and goddess above to make this dream of hers a reality. Once she got a message from her father to start her ruling journey on the moon, she hurriedly accepted.
The new ruler knew some day she would have to return to this land for something, and hopefully it wouldn't be to see the gods and goddesses ever again. After all, she was leaving them for the moon without telling them. There was no doubt they would be furious after they found out she fled away.
As that day came to an end, she snuck outside of the castle to escape her worldly burdens. She traveled long enough through forests along with her wise followers to find the perfect place to build the transportation pad that would lead only those with certain moon-blood back and forth to Earth. She bestowed a one time deal to her followers, but after that she concluded the only people that would be able to journey through the cosmos would be her descendants. The beautiful pad was build a ways from her old castle, where she's been her whole life with the other gods and goddesses.  Her courageous heart and spirit lead her and her fellow Selenophiles to their new lives, their new homes.

3000 years ago.

Selene made a civilization, and was bestowed the title Goddess of the Moon. She can't even believe she is queen of her planet she's always felt a deep connection with. However it wouldn't be too long...several centuries have passed and she had grown old. She was never wed, of course the people around her age were the people who she brought here. She had no interest on marrying a mortal man, even if they did have a connection with the moon.
She soon realized she has no heir. She needs more time here, but her body will not allow her to. As the civilization gather around the kingdom in worry with who their next leader will be, Selene walks out of the palace doors.

"With the last ounce of my strength, I will incarnate a body of mine to lead you from now on...Serenity shall be her name, but if you wish, you may address her as mine, as she will be a part of my soul...do not fret, she is destined to have a heir to this throne...a lovely princess who you will one day call queen...help her through this journey, my moon people...I'll never forget you."

She slowly puts her hands on her chest as a soft white light envelopes her. She pulls out her old life force, using the power of the moons abilities to crystallize her soul.

"You will be a trinket watched over by our royal bloodline for millennia to come...please grant my soul a new body...and a princess to come of her...oh crystal who now you shall be named...the Crystal of Legends made by the Goddess Selene...the Legendary Silver Crystal."

1,000 years ago.

      The ruling under Queen Serenity was almost like the Goddess never left. It was always lovely on the moon and everyone loved her and her work. After all, she was an expert as soon as her body awakened. That's to be expected. The kingdom was added on a bit more, because of the increase of the population. Serenity knew she wasn't going to be able to do this by herself for too much longer, she would need to begin to find love soon. However, the population was growing and it has been 2,000 years since her past lives death, she wasn't getting any younger, so an heir was always on the back of her mind.
     However, just like the goddess, many men would jump at the chance to wed her. Though, she did have some class, and a type as anyone would. As decades went by she was able to eventually find someone who she felt like she was meant for. The kingdom soon bestowed their best wishes on the newly engaged couple. A year went past and the Queen wed, making this the first coronation for a king. They celebrated for three days and three nights, before the Queen and the new King had to begin their new duties to not only care for the Palace and it's people, but to bring in a heir too.
The King and Queen prayed every single morning and night on the Silver Crystal. Serenity knew that Selene didn't allow the crystal to make wishes come true, however Selene herself wished for their to be an heir as well, so maybe if they just prayed a little more...

400 years ago.

Millennia went by. Constant prayers were never answered until this day, where the King and Queen are ready to welcome their child into the world. It took time, but with the helpful support of the castle staff and everyone on the moon waiting for the new heir's reveal outside the palace's outdoor staircase, the Queen was able to safely deliver their child into the world.
The child looked exactly like her mother, with her eye color like her fathers.
The new bestowed parents step outside onto the palace stairs after resting up, rejuvenating their bodies after the long morning. Serenity bows to the people, looking over at the crowd, seeming to go over miles.
"People of the moon, I would like for you to meet our new child, the future heir to the throne...Princess Serena Serenity. May she have a life ahead of her that is filled with happiness..."
The Queen looks down at her newborn child once again. "My beloved Serena Serenity..."
