Present.

The Earth rose gently into the starry sky, lighting up the moonstones all around the ball of light. Silver Millennium, now shining brightly, awakens the people of the moon from their night slumbers.

Within the moon kingdom, down the quarters of the halls lies a magical and enchanting bedroom with a celestial theme. The room is dominated by a breathtaking ceiling adorned with twinkling stars, delicate constellations, and the bright Earth, covered with some fluffy white clouds. The walls are draped in soft, ethereal curtains, and the bed is piled high with fluffy pillows and blankets. So peaceful and serene, providing relaxation and dreams of adventure to the young princess. After all, this was Serena's room.

As the moonstone outside of the kingdom brightens, she more she stirs in her sleep. This was bringing her a sense of morning. One thing the princess hated...was mornings.

Serena rubs her blue eyes, sighing to herself, looking around her room groggily. She moves out of her bed, stepping onto the moonstone flooring. She puts on her fluffy pink slippers, walking out onto her bedrooms balcony. The white balustrade standing at her bosom framed the view, offering a glimpse of the towns architecture and lush greenery.

Her long flaxen hair blowing in the wind along with her pajamas. They were pink of course, why wouldn't they be, that was her favorite color. The peignoir features a sheer, flowing gown with a v-neckline and a tie belt around the waist. The sleeves are long and have ruffled cuffs, along with a feathery trim around the hem. Her legs weren't quite covered at the bottom, so she was a bit on the colder side. One thing people don't know, is how low the temperature gets on the moon.

Serena looks up at the sky, gazing at the deep blue planet above her. The sun must be rising on the surface of that planet, because it looks like it is glowing brighter than ever.

After a moment of gazing happily at the planet, the princess crosses the glossy moonstone door back into her bedroom. She lays back in bed, since no one has come to get her up yet. Strange, she's sure at about this time someone always comes knoc-

*knock knock*

The young princess let's put an exasperated sigh. "I'm not here!"

The door opens as a figure in a white satin robe appears. It has a deep v neckline, long sleeves with feathered cuffs, and the belt at the waist. The robe is adorned with a wide, feathery trim along the bottom hem and cuffs, adding a bunch of glamor and opulence."Oh don't give me that, Serena. I'm your mother for goodness sakes."

Serena sits up, surprised. "Mother? You never come to wake me up, normally the chefs or tailors come in the serve me breakfast and dress me...is everything okay?"

"Oh, everything's alright. It's just, I was hoping I was able to get to speak with you about a matter...regarding your future rein over the kingdom." Queen Serenity states.

Serena looks up at her mother. "Yes?"

"I know you are quite young...normally the past rulers of the Moon Kingdom begin their training in their twenties or so...however you are only still a child..." Serenity looks at her child.

"Technically I am four hundred-"

"In human years, remember? For us moon-blooded, time passes by much slower...you are but fifteen, yet well into maturity...so..." The Queen looks down at Serena with a troubled expression...one which Serena wishes she could read.

"There has been an increase in population, more so then before you were born, Serena. I am getting in age where ruling alone could be hard for me...and your father is gone now...he was but a human..." Serenity clasps her hands around her daughters. "Serena, today is the day where you have to take your heritage seriously...and begin your training as the future Queen of the Moon."
