tw: assault
I woke up early this morning. Will left a few days ago to take care of some family matters, so I've been pretty bored these past few days. But today, I decided to do a deep cleaning of the house, then I'll go out with some friends and have fun.
I'm putting down dibbles on the floor as I try to make the bed. The sun's rays warm my face as I clean the room—it feels good. I have a feeling today is going to be a good day.
Once I finish cleaning the apartment, I make myself a smoothie—my favorite, the all-berries one. I found the recipe online, and it's been my go-to ever since. After a good breakfast, I get ready to go to the gym. I've been lying in bed for days, and with the last dates of my tour coming up soon, I need to stay fit.
I walk down to the car with two bodyguards. I don't really like them. It's not that they're not nice, it's just that they're not Will. Since Will and I started dating, Tree insisted I hire new bodyguards. I didn't want to argue with her—she always has the final say—so I agreed.
Thinking about Will makes my heart ache; I miss him so much. He called last night and said it would take two or three more days before he could come back home.
After my gym session, I head to Electric Lady Studio to write a few songs and maybe record a thing or two.
When I finally get home after a long day, I notice something strange. As I climb the stairs to my apartment, I catch a faint scent of cigarettes in the air. It's not too strong, so I figure it's from one of my new bodyguards. I know one of them smokes, but I can't remember which one—or maybe it's both.
I tell the bodyguards to head back to the headquarters since I'm home now, and they do as they're told. As I walk down the hall to my front door, the cigarette smell grows stronger. It's strange because my bodyguards have already left.
I'm about to put the key in the door when I realize—it's already open. A smile crosses my face, thinking Will must've come back earlier than expected. I burst through the door, calling for him, but there's no answer.
I look around, but no one's here—not even my pets, Meredith, Olivia, or Benji, come to greet me. The apartment feels empty, but there's an odd sense that something's not right. The strong smell of cigarettes lingers, just like in the hallway.
My heart starts racing—something's wrong. I turn around, heading for the door. I need to leave, now. But just as I reach the door, I feel a strong hand cover my mouth. I'm pulled back. I try to scream, but the hand muffles the sound. I struggle, but the person holding me is much stronger.
He's not alone. I hear him speaking to someone before he whispers in my ear.
"If you move, you're dead. Understand?"
I nod slowly, giving up any attempts to fight. The other man stands in front of me, taking out a white cloth from his pocket and pouring a liquid onto it before pressing it against my mouth and nose.
I try to resist, but the man holding me tightens his grip. I try to call for help, but I can't. My head starts spinning, and I feel dizzy and numb. My body becomes harder to support. I fight against the urge to fall asleep, but soon everything fades to black, and then—nothing.
