8. The night talks

(The next day)
Arjun's POV

I just woke up now. I walked out of my room. I saw Amu sitting on the couch. "Good morning Amu" I sat beside her. "Good morning bro" She smiled. "What are you doing while sitting on the couch?" I asked her. "Nothing bro, I want to skip the school today" She said. "No Amulya, you should go to school" Mom said while coming out of the kitchen. "Mom, please" She requested mom. "No, you should not skip the school" mom said. "Ok mom, I will go" She said with a sigh of disappointment.

"Ok,now let's get ready before we get any scolding from mom" I said with a smile. She nodded her head and reluctantly woke up from the couch and walked towards her room. I went to my room and got ready for school. We both ate our breakfast and went to our school. I went to my classroom after leaving Amu at her classroom.

As I walked inside I saw Tanya laughing while looking at Karthik and he is trying to stay cool. "Can you stop that" he said with a angry tone. But she kept laughing. He repeated his words again. "Ok ok" She said while lowering her laugh, but with a smile, indicating that she is still laughing but not showing it to him.

"What happened guys, why are you laughing Tanya?" I asked as I reached near my desk. "Nothing, nothing" She said with a smile. "Tell me now, I want to know what happened." I said. "Ok I will tell you" Tanya said, she started laughing again.

"Tanya just tell me what happened."
I asked. "I will tell, now you just stop laughing." He said. "Ok ok, you can start" She said finally stopped laughing.

"What happened is...." he started narrating what happened.

Karthik's POV

After leaving from the park, we went to her house, while going so we talked about the day, "Do you think your parents will be fine with me coming to your house?" I asked her. "Yeah, why did you ask?" She asked me. "I mean, won't they feel bad ?" I asked her. "No my mom is so chill type she won't mind it" She said. "Ok then" we both went to her house.

We knocked the door a minute later, the door was opened by a woman. "Hello kids" a woman greeted us. "Hi mom" Tanya said. "Come on inside" She welcomed us in. "Please be seated" She said. I sat on the couch. "Is this your friend Tanya?" She asked. "Yeah" She said. "What is your name dear?" She asked me. "My name is karthik what is your name aunty?" I asked her. "My name is Akshaya" She said a calm smile.

"Mom we are going to my room to study, we can talk later." She said and we both went to her room. We went inside. Her room is very tidy and the walls are painted green. There is a bed in the room near the window, also there is a study chair, all her books in one side. She keeps all things so organised. "Mom we should complete our homework, so dont disturb us" she closed the door.As soon as she closed the door I saw a dream catcher hanging on the door.

"Our homework?" I raised one of my eyebrows. "Isn't my work, your work?" She smiled. "Ok ok" a smile took it's place on my lips. We both sat on the bed as there is only one study chair. We started doing her homework. We completed the work in almost 30 minutes. I helped her in packing her books. I looked atthe clock and the time is 6:30 pm. I sighed in the relief of completing her homework.

I looked at her. She is stretching her body. "Will you fresh up?" She asked me. "No and also do you have any clothes that boys could wear?" I asked her. "You can wear mine" She said. "No thanks, I don't they would fit me" I said. "Ok then atleast what about a face wash?" She said. "Ok it will be nice." I washed my face and came out of the washroom. As soon as I came out she passed me a towel. "Thanks" I dried my face. She removed her coat and threw it on the bed. "Now get out" She said. "Huh, what?" I asked her. "I will fresh up so you go outside." She said. "Ok" I went out side.

"What happened?" I heard someone's voice. I turned to look whose voice is that. It is her mother. "What?" I asked. "Why are you blushing?" She asked me. Until she asked me I didn't even realize that myself. "Nothing" I replied. "Then why are you blushing?" She asked again. "I am not blushing" I replied. "What is she doing?" She asked me." She said she is going to fresh up" I replied."Ok then, we will have a word then" She said. We both went to living room and sat on the couch facing eachother. Silence found it's place in the living room. A few minutes later, "What is your name again" She broke the silence. "Karthik aunty" I said. "Oh, do you both go to same school?" She asked me. "Yes, we both are same class." I replied. "Oh nice, how does she behave?" She asked me. "I didn't understand what you are trying to tell" I said.
