Geoff and Bridgette were sitting on the beach together, watching the waves roll in.
"I can't believe how far we've come," Geoff said, slinging an arm around Bridgette's shoulders.
Bridgette leaned her head against his shoulder. "It hasn't been easy," she admitted. "But it's worth it, right?"
Geoff smiled. "Definitely. I don't know what I would do without you, Bridge."
Bridgette wrapped her arms around Geoff's waist, holding him close. "I love how easy you make everything feel," she said, her voice soft.
Geoff chuckled. "And I love how you keep me grounded," he replied, running his fingers through her hair.
He leaned down and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead, and they sat there in silence, watching the sun set over the water.
