****Time skip****

GGreg was reading in his bedroom late into the evening, feeling at peace for the first time. That night of the party was an unforgettable experience; he confessed everything to Nuke and, contrary to Greg's expectations, Nuke held him close the entire night. It was strange to be awakened by his grandmother, who then he had to introduce Nuke to... But the funniest moment was when Greg was about to say 'Friend,' and Nuke interjected with 'Boyfriend,' making Greg blush five different shades of red.

Greg's grandmother had been silent for about a week, not once urging him to study or practice his incantations... it was a pleasant change.

A message popped up on his phone from his new group of friends, which included Greg, Nuke, Meg, Natasha, Steven, and Lucy. The latter three were acquaintances of Meg who seemed to be drawn to Greg, especially Natasha, who had an affinity for the strange and eerie.

Natasha: Who's ready for this year's Halloween pumpkin bash!!!

Greg: Halloween what? (-:?

Nuke: It's a local festival that takes place annually... haven't you ever been?

Greg: Nope... i dont normally go out on Halloween...

Natasha:0-:

Greg: what?

Nuke: well i could take you(-; let it be our first real date

Steven: Gross, can we not have you two flirt on this chat please...

Greg: ...

Nuke: dont be depressed because i got a cutie and you dont

Meg: AHHHHHH! i love when you two flirt!!!!!!

Lucy: Meg, stop fangirling over our two friends... in saying that though, when we seeing some pics of you two butt naked making out(-;

Steven: I will literally hang myself...oh and fu Nuke, i got a lil lady back in my home country.

Nuke: sure... so Greg, i didnt get a no... can i assume its a yes?

Greg: Yes(-:

Meg: *dies* im so gonna pick out couples costumes for you two!!!!

Greg chuckles at the incoming messages; they're all nonsense, but it's endearing that he's found people he can truly relate to.

A text arrives from Nuke, but it's not in the chat room.

Nuke: Hey, sorry if I made you uncomfortable... I just really want a proper first date with you.

Greg: I know, and I appreciate your openness about our relationship... it makes me feel heard.

Nuke: I love you, you know that right?

Greg: i love you too, i miss you...

Nuke: we saw each other this morning and only separated at 4pm?

Greg: hahaha, I know... but i miss your hands...finding mine.

Nuke: hey... you said that you were learning a teleportation spell right?

Greg: yeah but i havent perfected it yet why?

Nuke: I want to hold your hand too

Greg blushed at the text...

Greg: I cant keep the portal open for very long...may a few mins at most.

Nuke: open it quickly

Greg stood up and traced all the markings on his wall; as he did, a portal opened, revealing Nuke sitting shirtless on his bed, smiling.

"Nuke..." Greg murmured, just before Nuke leaped through the portal, embracing Greg tightly.

The portal snapped shut behind them, with Nuke still holding Greg tightly. "I couldn't stand not being able to hold you," he confessed.

Greg began giggling, returning the embrace, "I'm glad you're here, Nuke," he said, his cheeks reddening with a blush.

Nuke pulled Greg onto the bed, spooning him from behind, their legs tangled with each other.

"Goodnight, Greg"

"Night, Nuke"
