After a long day of work, the Rajwansh siblings decided to unwind with a family dinner. Despite their busy schedules, they always made it a point to spend time together, especially on evenings like this when they needed to relax after a week of intense business meetings. As also suman and Rahul- Rohit have gone to suman's maternal house for 20-25 days so there will be none at home. Tonight, they had chosen a cozy, upscale restaurant in the city, known for its quiet ambiance and excellent food.
As they arrived at the restaurant, Krish parked the car, and the siblings made their way inside. Pihu, walking between her brothers, felt a sense of warmth and security. It wasn't uncommon for her brothers to be overprotective, especially after everything that had happened recently. Although they had mostly kept quiet about Samar after the last meeting, she knew they were still keeping a close eye on her interactions with him.
Soham held the door open for her as they entered the restaurant, his usual watchful gaze scanning the place. "After you, little bird," he said with a smile, using the nickname he reserved just for her.
Pihu rolled her eyes playfully. "You don't have to treat me like a fragile creature, bhai. I can handle myself, you know."
Krish, walking right behind them, chuckled. "We know that, Di, but it doesn't stop us from looking out for you. Old habits die hard."
Aditya added with a teasing grin, "And besides, considering your track record with men, especially a certain someone named Samar Surana, you can't blame us for being extra cautious."
Pihu groaned, nudging Aditya playfully. "Please don't start. I've had enough of that for one lifetime."
They were shown to their table, and as they settled in, Rohan, the eldest, took the seat directly beside Pihu. His protective instincts had been on overdrive ever since the Surana party, and tonight was no different. He gave her a long, assessing look, as though searching for any sign of discomfort.
"You've been quiet lately, Pihu," Rohan said, his tone gentle but probing. "bacha Are you sure everything's okay?"
Pihu sighed, picking up the menu to avoid his piercing gaze. "Yes, bhaiya. I'm fine. You all worry too much."
Soham leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Well, you haven't been quite yourself since that party. And let's not forget how tense you seemed after the last meeting with Samar. We just want to make sure nothing's bothering you."
Pihu felt a pang of frustration, not because of their concern, but because she knew they wouldn't let it go so easily. "Look, I appreciate that you're all looking out for me, but I'm handling it. Samar and I have sorted things out. Whatever happened in the past... it's behind us now."
Krish, however, wasn't convinced. "Sorted? You mean, all the misunderstandings are cleared, and now you're both just... what? Back to being acquaintances?"
Pihu set down the menu and looked at each of her brothers in turn. "Yes. We've cleared the air, and we're working together as professionals now. That's it. Nothing more."
Aditya exchanged a glance with Soham, then added in a softer tone, "We're not trying to interfere in your life, didi. We just want to make sure no one hurts you again."
Krish nodded in agreement. "Especially not Samar. He may have cleared things up with you di, but that doesn't mean we trust him completely. Not after everything."
Rohan, ever the most protective of them all, folded his arms across his chest. "If you feel uncomfortable working with him, Pihu, you just have to say the word. We'll find a way to handle it."
