BEING THINKING "WHAT KIND OF FUTURE "I WOULD HAVE?!!😭

ANYWAYS ,WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!!⇓⇓⇓🧐

---

Y/N sat at her usual spot in the corner of her favorite  , Pinwheel café , staring into her untouched iced latte

. Across from her, Mina, her only bestfriend and her only korean soul crackhead, was busy demolishing a muffin, clearly oblivious to Y/N's internal turmoil.

"Okay, spill it," Mina finally said, her mouth still half-full. "You've been staring at that drink like it owes you money. What's going on?"

Y/N sighed dramatically. "I got accepted into HYBE University."

Mina's eyes went wide as she nearly choked on the muffin. "Wait, what?! That's huge! Why do you look like someone just ran over your puppy? You should be screaming with joy!"

"I know," Y/N groaned, sinking deeper into her chair. "But... I haven't told my dad yet."

Mina leaned back, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "Ooh, now I get it. You think he's going to flip out?"

"Flip out?" Y/N scoffed. "Mina, he's going to have a full-on dad meltdown. I'm his *only* princess. He's been dreading the day I'd move out ever since I turned 16. And now I'm talking about Seoul. SE-OUL. That's like... halfway around the world!"

Mina raised an eyebrow. "So, what? Is he going to chain you to the house or something?"

Y/N half-laughed. "Honestly, I wouldn't put it past him. He's always so protective.

" Every time I mention living somewhere else, he gives me that look—like I'm betraying the family legacy or something."

Mina leaned forward with mock seriousness. "Ah, yes. The Yoon Family Tradition:

'Thou shalt not move more than two blocks away from thy father.'"

Y/N giggled, but the anxiety returned quickly. "It's not funny! I don't know how to tell him without making him feel like I'm abandoning him."

Mina sat back, smirking. "You know, you should just break it to him like this: 'Dad, I got into HYBE University, and no, you can't come with me.'"

Y/N snorted. "Yeah, right. He'd start packing his bags before I could finish the sentence."

Mina grinned. "Okay, then maybe just soften the blow a little. Like, 'Dad, I got into HYBE University, but don't worry, they offer online courses, and I'll Skype you every day.'"

Y/N rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help smiling. "You're not helping."

"Look, Y/N," Mina said, her tone turning sincere, "your dad's protective, sure, but he's not a monster. He's always been supportive of your dreams, right? I mean, he let you apply in the first place."

"Yeah, but..." Y/N trailed off, picking at the edge of her cup. "This is different. I'm scared he's going to make me feel guilty, or worse—convince me to stay."

Mina gave her a knowing look. "You're scared he's going to pull the classic 'guilt trip'—the 'Oh, my only daughter's leaving me, how will I survive without her?'  routine?"

Y/N nodded, her expression turning serious again. "Exactly! He'll go all 'sad dad mode' on me, and I'll cave in. I'll end up spending the next four years still living at home, pretending to take virtual classes while I cry into my pillow every night."

Mina burst out laughing. "Okay, drama queen, let's not get ahead of ourselves. He'll be upset at first, maybe, but you just have to remind him how much this means to you. He'll come around. Plus, who could resist that face of yours when you're determined?"
