"Blood doesn't make families"

6 Years Later

After the day I decided to live with Theodore, he never proves it wrong that it was the best decision of my life. He treated me like his own daughter, buy me clothes and everything he like when he go to market. He always took me with him, he said that it's not safe to leave me alone here.

He made food for us, and do all the chores, I help him though, but he always said that it's better that he do this work alone instead of making it worst. Yeah yeah I know, he means that I'm not good in house chores, well who cares.

Right now we're in small yard of our house, he is teaching me archery...again. Archery is a little bit hard but he said that I have to learn one thing either it's swordsmanship or archery. I chose archery, swordsmanship is hard.

"Ann, Why are you not focusing, you missed the target again." He said, sounds angry.

"That's because I'm tired Theodore" I whine.

He sigh "yeah yeah you are always tired whenever you are studying, doing house chores, and archery" he said while counting these thing on the tip of his finger.

"I'm not doing this anymore" I declare.

"And I'm not going to waste my time on you because I know you will not do it right even if I teach you forcefully."

That's how it is, whenever I'm done with something I don't do it again, why? cause I'm tired and done, he knows me very well, that's why he is not pushing me. If he does, it's going to waste his own time.

"Let's go inside, Theodore" I said

He hummed in response.

I call him by his name, Theodore. He told me that when we are in public I will call him father or something, which these human use to call their father. He said told everyone that I'm his cousin's daughter, who died in war.

Whenever he took me to market, everyone ask him to marry me, like seriously, what's with these pathetic human beings, like he's thirty two years old and I'm just eighteen, moreover, he's like a father to me, though I don't said this aloud. He would be on high sky if I told him this.

But still, he always tell those people that I'm his daughter, and I will always be his daughter, nothing less, nothing more.

Once when we were at the market, one man said that I'm not his real daughter, like not HIS daughter, he got angry, real angry with that man and yell at him, he said that blood don't make relations. Reals family is by heart. I really like his words but I told him that he was being too much, he should've agreed with that man. He said that I should shut my mouth and I laughed.
