[ Location ] [ Hanasakigawa Girls' School ][ Day of the Cultural Festival ]
Four Years Ago. . .
"There's a lot of people today. More than I thought."
"It is the cultural festival after all! I'm pretty excited to get up on stage already!"
"Take it easy, Rui-chan."
. . .
While the trio was talking among themselves about the on-going event. Another friend of theirs was standing from the side. Tapping her shoe on the floor as she looks at her phone with furrowed eye brows.
She grumbles, seemingly growing impatient. "Where is she?" She muttered.
. . .
It wasn't until the girl saw something through her phone. That seem to made her snap. At the same time, their other friend arrived at the scene, a worried look on her face.
"A- Am I Late?"
One of the girls shake their head. "Mm. You're just in time, Hanako-chan. The starting performers hasn't even started yet."
"Luckily, we'll be performing last!"
They gazed upon the crowd of people entering the gymnasium where their performance will take place. Excited looks plastered onto their faces, unable to wait to step up and hear the cheers from the audience.
. . .
. . .
. . .
It was only several hours later, thus came the conclusion of the cultural festival. With many leaving with delighted faces, memories of this day kept and cherished. . .
. . .
Memories of this day-
"Where have you been?!"
"I- I've already told you! I had to attend to somewhere. . . !"
"You really have the gal to lie to me, huh? Then what's this!?"
. . .
. . .
. . .
"S- Sumika-chan. You can't keep doing this. You can't keep deciding what I want!"
. . .
. . .
"SUMIKA! LET HER GO!"
"Come on Sumika! Stop this please! Don't hurt her!"
. . .
. . .
"Maybe that guy will change his opinion of you once I puncture a hole in your face!!!"
. . .
". . .!" A girl gasps as she woke up from her sleep. Her eyes widen seemingly struck by fear, but later calms herself down as she realizes that it was all a nightmare. . .
A traumatic one, even.
"Yui-Yui? You okay?" Another girl came up to her, donning brown bob-cut hair and eyes shade of red. She places a hand over her friend's forehead. "You're sweating a lot! It doesn't seem like you have a fever though..."
The other girl smiles reassuringly. "I'm fine. Just had a little trouble with my nightmares, that's all." She gives a light-hearted giggle. She sat up from her chair, looks around and noticed that they were the only ones left in the club room. "Oh my. The others left already?"
"Mari-Mari was initially going to stay with us. But she had to rush home – something along the lines with school idols. . . Golden Cow or something. But either way, it's a similar situation with Katsu-Katsu."
"I see then." She giggles once more before moving off from her seat. "I think it's time for us to get going as well."
"Sure thing! I'll go lock up the club room while we're at it!" The girl rushes off to find the keys. Meanwhile, the girl presumably named Yui, looks down at her hand. She could see it shake a little.
"Maybe I should refrain myself from playing any instruments. . ." she mumbles to herself. "That time at Live House SPACE must've paid a reminder. . ."
