"Is she alive?.. That's impossible, I killed her.. I stabbed her" Alan mumbled to himself. He was sitting in an open ground surrounded by trees, clearing his head for almost an hour now. "First day and you're ditching class? You're on fire" a feminine voice said to him making him snap his head back to see a girl with black hair that reached to her back, and tied back into a ponytail, dark brown eyes and all. Wearing the school uniform, she walked to Alan "I'm Erica, you must be Alan the newbie" "Yeah" "so, what made your day bad enough to ditch class?" "I just needed some air" Alan cooed making Erica raise her eyebrow, "You're a terrible liar" she said.

Alan sighed "I wasn't feeling okay so I decided I really needed some air" "I know its hard being an Element" Erica exclaimed sitting beside Alan. Alan tensed and looked surprised at Erica's remark,"..what..?"

"You can fool everyone but not me" she smiled.

"How did you- how did you know..?"

"Remember that fight you had with the witch? I saw it and when your mother wiped everyone's memory, mine wasn't because I had protection"

Alan was still surprised.

"I think I heard you saying an Element and not the" Alan said.

"Yeah.. there is no one Element there are 4 Elements.. Element of Darkness and Destruction, Element of Light, Element of Power and Element of Magic" Erica explained. Alan was still surprised because he thought he was the only Element but little did he know, he was still startstruck.

"What kind of Element are you?" she asked.

"I don't know.."

"Why?"

"I don't know why" Erica furrowed her brows in confusion.

"Well you better find out 'cause that witch knows"

"How do you know?"

"Elements are one of the most powerful choden people, anyone knows how many there are, but only a few of them know where they are and so far I only know one.. You"

"Damn.."

"Sucks right?"

"Kinda"

"Get used to it" Erica chided. Alan was slowly absorbing the new information he just got. He was questioning himself over and over, did his parents know? And what kind of Element was he? How could he-

"We need to leave, the fairies may come here" Erica remarked then got up. Alan followed suit and when they reached the campus, everyone had scattered and were busy minding their own businesses. "Alan!" Emily called, "Hi" "Where were you? We were worried" "yeah dude where'd you go?" John asked. "I just needed some air.." "You okay?" "I'm okay" "why did you panic?" "I.. just fell asleep and had a nightmare" "With a fever" Sean retorded. "Well I'm not a normal human, am I?" Alan said.

"Fine, Classes are over and you ditched" Cassie said matter of factly. "I know..." Alan said as a tall woman in her thrities approached them with a face that meamt business. "Alan.. The headmaster will see you" she said. Alan froze, so did his friends. "Uh..right now?" she nodded. Alan followed her through the halls and finally to the headmaster's office door, she opened the door and Alan hesitated then followed her. "Here he is Peterson" the woman said then left. Alan swallowed a lump in his throat and faced the headmaster.

"Alan.. I heard you ditched class today" "Yes sir" he lowered his face. "Any reason?" "Uh.. I wasn't feeling okay.. So I uh..needed some air" "And why did you get sick?" Alan looked at him. "I don't know..maybe I just got suddenly sick I guess" the headmaster nodded slowly. Alan started feeling pain, he immediately realized the source of it, the mark. He kept tolerating the pain, "Next time when you're sick, just go to the nurse okay?" "Y-yes sir" Peterson said, smiling. Calm down..please not now "everything okay Alan?" "Yes, I'm okay" "okay..if you need anything, you know where to find me, you're dismissed" Peterson said. "Okay, thank you sir" Peterson nodded.
