Episode 9

.

Taehyung stepped out of his room, but his heart felt heavy. Today was the day he was leaving, and he wasn't sure when he would return. As he reached the living room, he found Mr Jeon waiting for him by the door, his expression sombre and conflicted.

Mr. Jeon: "Taehyung, my son, wait a moment. I'm sorry... for everything we've done to you, even if it was unknowingly."

Taehyung turned toward him, his face softening as the older man spoke.

Taehyung: "No, Dad, please don’t say it like that. You don’t have to apologize."

Mr Jeon: "I have to, Taehyung. I don’t know what the future holds, or where Jungkook’s path may lead, but as for me... I'll come to you as often as I can. We'll make up for lost time. I promise you that."

Taehyung's throat tightened. His eyes filled with tears.

Taehyung: "Thank you, Dad, I'll wait for you."

Jungkook: "We're getting late, Taehyung. Stop with the drama already."

Mr. Jeon’s gaze shifted to Jungkook, his expression hardening slightly.

Mr Jeon: "Jungkook, control your anger. This isn't the time."

Jungkook: "I'm sorry, Dad. It's just... we're running late."

Mr Jeon: "You should be apologizing to Taehyung, not to me."

Mr. Jeon turned back to Taehyung, his eyes warm with fatherly concern.

Mr. Jeon: "Taehyung, my son, take care of yourself. Don’t hesitate to call me if you ever need anything."

Taehyung managed a weak smile through his tears, nodding.

Taehyung: "I will, Dad."

With a final, lingering look, Taehyung and Jungkook left the house.

....
They stepped onto the sleek, polished floors of their private jet. The inside was luxurious, designed to accommodate every comfort, but the tension between the couple made it feel suffocating. The jet was divided into two sections: one for each of them, giving them the space they needed to avoid each other. Taehyung silently moved to his section, taking a seat by the window, staring out as the world outside prepared to blur away.

Jungkook sat in his own section, headphones on, his face unreadable as he scrolled through his phone, trying to distance himself from the discomfort in the air.

Taehyung, on the other hand, wasn’t at peace. His mind raced, and no matter how hard he tried to distract himself, nothing worked. He hated how things had turned out, and being stuck in this jet with Jungkook only made it worse. It was suffocating.

After a few minutes, the airhostess approached with a polite smile, sensing the tension but maintaining her professionalism.

Airhostess: "Sir, would you like something to drink?"

Taehyung didn't look up, his voice low and detached.

Taehyung: "No, thanks."

The airhostess nodded and quietly stepped away. Taehyung sighed deeply, his eyes drifting back to the clouds outside.

Time passed slowly. A while later, the airhostess returned, her tone still gentle as she attempted to offer some comfort.

Airhostess: "Sir, it’s lunchtime now. Would you like to eat something?"

Taehyung barely moved, his eyes still fixed on the window, as though hoping he could disappear into the vastness of the sky.

Taehyung: "No... I have no appetite. Thanks."
