'Why the hell are you so slow!?. Make it fast; we are all hungry,' Said my Maami ( Maternal Aunt).
' Yes, Maami, I am making it,' I said, continuing to make breakfast for everyone.
That was my Maami; I know she is rude, but now I am used to it. My parents died when I was 12 years old; not having any choice, my maternal uncle and Aunt got my custody, as they were my only relatives left.
I went to the dining table and served everyone their breakfast. Everyone includes my Uncle, Aunt, and their son Akshay Bhaiya.
I took my plate and went to my room to eat my breakfast. Yeah, they don't like having breakfast with me. They mean Aunt because of her Uncle and Akshay Bhaiya also can't talk to me.
After having my breakfast, I left the house. I walked to the end of my street; Akshay Bhaiya was there waiting for me on his bike.
Yeah, this is our secret. Inside the house, everyone thinks we don't talk, but outside the house, we are like real siblings.
' Come fast, Rohi, we are getting late for college,' he said.
' Coming bhaiya' I said and sat behind him on the bike.
We both study in the same college, him being my senior. Bhaiya is 24 years old and I am 22 years old.
Soon, we both reached the college; I stepped down from the bike. Bhaiya parked his bike and came to me.
' Here, take it; ask me if you want more,' he said, handing me the money for lunch. As my aunt does not give me the money for lunch.
We both entered college, and seeing us my best friend Jiya came to me. ' Finally, you came; why did you get so late?' She asked.
' Ask Bhai, he drove so slow,' I said, and bhai's face became red. I know he won't say anything in front of her.
' Bhai why did you drive so slow?' Jiya asked. Bhai's face became more red.
' I have to go somewhere he said and left, leaving me laughing hard.
' Why did he leave like that? And why are you laughing?' She asked.
' You know I seriously think your brother doesn't like me. He always behaves so awkwardly in front of me' She said, we were going towards our class.
' You know that, you are dumb right?' I said to her.
' That's offensive,' She said, folding her hands, and I just shook my head at her dumbness. It's so obvious that Bhai likes her, except her everyone knows it.
Soon, our classes ended, and we exited the college. Jiya went to her car and I went towards Bhaiya.
'You came, alone,' he said, whispering the last part, but I heard.
