Yoongi is disjointedly pacing around his and Namjoon's kitchen.
It has been a week since he made the shattering discovery that was the identity of the stranger who had coated his thoughts for the last ten years.
Yoongi had let the information fester in his brain for a few days. He wanted to let the reality of it all really sink in before he even considered acting on it.
He had spent the last week trying to convince himself not to go through with what he so strongly wanted. Which was to go and find him. To confront him.
Kim Jay, rather.
It was still difficult for Yoongi to refer to him as anything but "that man" or "him." As those words were all he had known this person to be for such a long time.
Unfortunately, while a lot of his thoughts and actions when it came to that night confused him, Yoongi knew himself too well when it came to this. His mind had been made up the second his eyes fell on the photo of the man.
There was absolutely no other way Yoongi was going to get the closure he needed until he could face this person again. He had to go and see him in the flesh to believe that he had been real all along.
Yoongi hadn't told Namjoon, of course. While he knew that he should, he also didn't think that there was any way he ever could.
Yoongi didn't have the slightest idea of how he'd even go about bringing it up to the younger. Telling Namjoon about the discovered identity, sure, maybe he could do that (although even that could prove risky as the younger might catch on to Yoongi's plans immediately), but telling him how he was about to go pay a criminal a visit? Absolutely no way.
Yoongi knew that it would cause Namjoon nothing but worry and would probably result in him not letting Yoongi go. While he knew if that were the case, Namjoon had every right to stop his extremely unsafe actions and he should.
What Yoongi was planning to do was absolutely insane and dangerous. Not only would it probably cause him to spiral back months and months of emotional progress and healing, but it could also cause Yoongi to be hurt again...or something far worse.
Yoongi knew he was being irresponsible and for lack of a better term, delusional, but he didn't care. While yes, he had worked for so long in therapy to cope with what happened to him, always present in the back of his mind, was a desire for a different kind of closure.
Face to face.
Yoongi had waited until Saturday to set his plan in motion. He chose today guiltily because he knew that Namjoon would be spending his entire day out with Seokjin. It gave Yoongi a large enough window to slip out undetected for a couple of hours.
He had already programmed Kim Jay's address from the donor list into his phone the night of the discovery. It was only about a fifteen minute bus ride from their apartment.
