[Takes place a few months after The Show Must Go On; spoiler warning]
[Emily's POV]
Emily was skipping along the sidewalk of Heaven, humming happily to herself. I'm so glad we could work the exterminations out... I hope Charlie and the Hazbin Hotel are doing okay! All of a sudden, Emily halted in her tracks. "Oh no! Pen, what's wrong?!"
Sir Pentious was sitting on a bench, crying softly. He quickly wiped his tears away. "I-It's nothing, Miss Emily."
Emily put her hands on her hips. "Firstly, I told you that you can call me Em! Or E! Or Emmy- Nevermind. SECONDLY, I'm the freaking angel of joy! I can tell when someone is sad!!" Emily smiled sadly at Sir Pentious, sitting down next to him. "C'mon, Pen, you can tell me."
Pentious hesitated. "Have... Have you ever loved someone but you couldn't be with them? And... And then you loved someone else who you could be with but still loved the other one just as much??"
Emily blinked. "Love advice?" She laughed a bit, trying to lighten the mood. "Well... No, I guess that's never happened to me. Is that the situation you're in?"
"Yes."
"Well, who's the lucky sinners? Or winners?? Or both???? Maybe getting it out will help you!"

[Sir Pentious's POV]
Sir Pentious froze, blushing. "The... Lucky..." He awkwardly yet quickly shot up. "I- have- to- go-" He managed to get out stiffly. Just as he started to slither away, he felt a familiar yet gentle hand grab his wrist. He blushed even more.
"Pen!" Emily yanked him towards her. "Who is it?!"
"Um... Miss... Cherri Bomb..." Pentious started. Emily nodded in understanding. "And... Well... It's-" Before Pentious could regret another thing, he grabbed Emily's other hand, pulled her in, and kissed her. SHIT, I MAY HAVE JUST LOST MY ONLY FRIEND IN HEAVEN, WHY DID I DO THAT?!
Pentious pulled away, staring at his feet in shame. And a Seraphim, too?! I'll be banished back to Hell for sure... Sir Pentious felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe then I can see Cherri Bomb again-?
Suddenly he felt arms wrap around him. He looked down in surprise. "E-Emily?"
"Sir Pentious," she said warmly, "if it makes you happy. I'm here."
