Y/N sat quietly in the paddock, the roar of engines filling the air as the Formula 1 weekend continued around her. She watched the cars speed by on the track, her eyes following one in particular—the silver Mercedes, driven by George Russell. Her heart swelled with pride every time she saw him out there, pushing the limits, chasing his dreams. But mixed in with that pride was something else, something she had been carrying for a while now. A weight, a feeling she hadn’t yet fully expressed.

George had been her everything for the last two years. They had met at a charity event in London, and what had started as casual conversation had quickly blossomed into something deeper. George was charming, kind, and completely dedicated to his career, but with Y/N, he was different. He was softer, more vulnerable. He let her see the side of him that the cameras and fans didn’t—away from the pressure and expectations. And she loved him for that, loved him more than she had ever imagined she could.

But she had never told him. Not fully, not the way she wanted to. Sure, she had said “I love you” a hundred times, but it was always in passing, in moments that felt rushed or incomplete. She hadn’t taken the time to truly let him know how much he meant to her, how deeply she cared for him, and how much she believed in him, no matter what happened on or off the track.

And today, something inside her told her it was time.

"In case you didn’t know, baby I’m crazy 'bout you..."

Later that evening, the paddock had quieted down. The team was celebrating a solid qualifying performance, and George was in the middle of it all, smiling and laughing with his engineers, his arm slung casually around Y/N’s shoulders. She could feel his happiness radiating off him, the way it always did after a good day on track.

But even in this joyful moment, Y/N couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something she needed to say—something more important than just congratulations. She needed him to know how much she loved him, how much she supported him, not just when he was standing on the podium, but always.

As the celebrations continued around them, Y/N gently tugged on George’s hand, pulling him away from the crowd. He raised an eyebrow, a playful smile on his lips. “Where are we going?” he asked, letting her lead him out of the paddock and towards a quieter part of the track.

“I just need to talk to you,” Y/N said softly, her heart pounding in her chest.

George looked at her curiously, but he followed without question, his trust in her absolute. They walked down towards the pit lane, the bright lights of the track illuminating the night sky. The grandstands were empty now, the roar of engines replaced by the quiet hum of the city in the distance.

When they finally stopped, Y/N turned to face him, her eyes searching his. George’s smile faded slightly as he noticed the seriousness in her expression.

“Is everything okay?” he asked, his brow furrowing with concern.

Y/N nodded, though her heart was racing. “Yeah, everything’s fine. I just… I need to say something.”

"I’d be lying if I said that I could live this life without you..."

George took a step closer, his hands gently resting on her arms. “What’s on your mind?”

She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. “George, I know I tell you I love you all the time, but… I don’t think I’ve ever really told you just how much you mean to me.”

George’s eyes softened, and he smiled, that boyish grin that had made her fall for him in the first place. “You don’t have to say anything, Y/N. I know.”

She shook her head. “No, I do. Because I don’t think you realize how much you’ve changed my life. How much I admire you, not just for what you do on the track, but for who you are off of it. You’re this incredible person, George, and I’m so lucky to be a part of your life.”

George opened his mouth to respond, but Y/N held up a hand, stopping him. “I know your life is hectic. I know this sport comes with so much pressure, and sometimes it feels like everything is moving so fast. But I want you to know that I’ll always be here for you, no matter what. Whether you’re winning or losing, whether things are going great or if you’re struggling—I’ll be right here.”

Her voice wavered slightly, and she swallowed the lump in her throat. “I love you more than I can even put into words, George. And in case you didn’t know… I’d give up anything just to see you happy. You’re my world.”

"In case you didn’t know, I’m crazy 'bout you..."

For a moment, George didn’t say anything. He just stared at her, his eyes shining under the track lights. Y/N’s heart pounded in her chest, wondering if she had said too much, if she had overwhelmed him. But then, George took a deep breath, his hands sliding down to take hers in his.

“Y/N…” His voice was soft, filled with emotion. “I’ve never had anyone in my life who made me feel the way you do. I’m not always good at saying it, but I want you to know that everything you just said… I feel the same way. I couldn’t do this without you.”

He took a step closer, his forehead resting against hers. “You’ve been my biggest supporter, my rock, and I don’t think I’ve ever told you how much that means to me. I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t here with me.”

Y/N felt her heart swell at his words, the weight of her feelings lifting as George’s love surrounded her. She smiled, blinking away the tears that had formed in her eyes.

George pulled her into a gentle hug, holding her close, his arms wrapping around her in a way that made her feel completely safe, completely loved. “In case you didn’t know,” he whispered against her hair, “I’m crazy about you too. I always have been.”

"I’d be lying if I said that I could live this life without you..."

As they stood there, the city of Monaco buzzing in the background and the track lights illuminating their quiet moment, Y/N realized something important. No matter how chaotic their lives got, no matter how fast things moved in the world of racing, their love was the constant. It was steady, unshakable.

George pulled back slightly, looking down at her with a grin. “You always know how to get to me, don’t you?”

Y/N laughed, wiping away the last of her tears. “I just thought you should know how much I love you.”

George smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I know. But I’m glad you told me. And just so you know… I feel the same way. Always.”

And in that moment, standing under the stars, with the echoes of the track fading into the night, Y/N knew that no matter where life took them, they would always find their way back to each other. Because their love was the kind that didn’t need to be spoken every day, but was always understood, always felt.

In case they didn’t know… now they both did.
