Scene VII : New Additions

The grand event hath come to a close, and the court settled into its new rhythm. As the royal hall brimmed with anticipation, Eliana, having been deeply engaged in the preparations, took it upon herself to present the servants she had brought from her own lands. The hall was abuzz with expectancy as Angela prepared to meet these distinguished individuals.

With a gracious flourish, Eliana began, "Your Majesty, 'tis my great pleasure to present unto thee the servants I have brought to thy household. Each hath been chosen with the utmost care, and I trust they shall contribute greatly to the well-being of thy court."

Isabel, Head Maid of the Household

Eliana stepped forth with Isabel by her side. "This is Isabel, who shall oversee the daily operations of the household. She shall ensure that all is managed with diligence and efficiency."

Isabel curtsied deeply, her countenance earnest. "Your Majesty, I am honored to serve. I shall see to it that the household is kept in the finest order."

Angela smiled warmly. "Isabel, I am grateful for thine dedication. The smooth running of the household is most crucial, and I have full trust in thy abilities."

Rodrigo, Master of the Stables

Next, Eliana presented Rodrigo. "Rodrigo shall be charged with the care of the royal steeds and the stables. His expertise shall ensure that our horses remain in prime condition."

Rodrigo bowed respectfully. "Your Majesty, I shall manage the stables with great care and attention."

Angela acknowledged him with a nod. "Thank thee, Rodrigo. The welfare of our steeds is important, and I am glad to have thy skillful hands tending to them."

Inés, Court Herbalist

Eliana then introduced Inés, who held a small basket of herbs. "Inés is our court herbalist, skilled in the art of healing. She shall provide remedies and attend to the health of the court."

Inés spoke softly. "Your Majesty, I am here to serve with all my knowledge and skill."

Angela's gaze softened with appreciation. "Inés, thy knowledge shall be a great boon. I am grateful for thy presence."

Fernando, Master Craftsman

Fernando was the next to be introduced, displaying his fine craftsmanship. "Fernando shall oversee the royal wardrobe and the maintenance of our tapestries."

Fernando gave a respectful bow. "Your Majesty, I shall ensure that all garments and tapestries are kept in the highest quality."

Angela was pleased. "Fernando, the presentation of our court reflects our dignity, and I trust thou wilt uphold the highest standards."

Catalina, Court Musician

Eliana then introduced Catalina, who held her lute with pride. "Catalina is our court musician, here to provide music and compose pieces for our royal events."

Catalina smiled warmly. "Your Majesty, I look forward to bringing joy through my music."

Angela welcomed her with enthusiasm. "Catalina, thy music shall be a cherished part of our court."

Alonso, Interpreter and Diplomat

Finally, Eliana introduced Alonso, who carried himself with quiet authority. "Alonso is our interpreter and diplomat, skilled in many tongues and capable of managing our formal correspondence."

Alonso spoke with confidence. "Your Majesty, I shall handle our diplomatic affairs with the utmost care."

Angela's eyes showed gratitude. "Alonso, thy skills shall be invaluable in our diplomatic endeavors."

Natalia

As the grand hall remained abuzz with activity, Eliana turned her attention to a special lady. Her gaze settled upon the lady who had been praised for her grace and elegance.

"Your Majesty," Eliana began with deep respect, "I must present to thee someone truly exceptional. This is Natalia, a lady of remarkable beauty and skill. She hath served our court with unparalleled dedication and hath earned the esteem of many through her unwavering loyalty and grace."

Natalia curtsied elegantly, her eyes shining with pride and humility. "Your Majesty, it is an honor to be presented by such esteemed company. I am here to serve with all my heart."

Eliana continued, her tone filled with admiration. "Natalia is not only a servant but a beacon of excellence in her duties. Her beauty is matched only by her ability to maintain the highest standards of grace and poise."

Angela, taking in the praise, regarded Natalia with newfound appreciation. "It is clear that Natalia's reputation precedes her, and I am pleased to have her in our court. I trust that her presence shall bring much-needed harmony and elegance."

Natalia smiled warmly at Angela's words. "Your Majesty, I am grateful for thy kind words and am committed to contributing to the well-being of the court."

Eliana continued, "Natalia's expertise extendeth beyond mere beauty; she possesseth a sharp intellect and a keen understanding of courtly affairs. Her role in maintaining the harmony and decorum of the court hath been invaluable. She hath a talent for handling delicate matters with discretion and finesse."

Angela nodded, clearly impressed. "Natalia, I look forward to witnessing the contributions thou shalt make to our court. Thy reputation is one of exceptional merit, and I am confident that thy presence will be a great asset."

Natalia responded with a graceful nod. "Thank thee, Your Majesty. I shall do my utmost to fulfill my duties with dedication and honor."

"Thou art perfect to be my Chief Lady-in-Waiting." exclaimed Angela

Upon hearing Angela's words, Natalia's countenance brightened, her cheeks flushed with a mix of pride and humility. She curtsied deeply, her voice laced with a gentle tremor of gratitude.

"Your Majesty, I am most honored by thy trust and grace. To serve as thy Chief Lady-in-Waiting is a privilege beyond compare, and I shall dedicate myself wholly to fulfilling this role with utmost devotion and diligence. I am ever at thy service, and I shall strive to uphold the honor of thy court with all my heart."

Natalia's eyes sparkled with a fervent resolve, her heart swelling with the recognition and closeness to the royal family that she had long desired.
