weekend off

Kevins mom offered to take Flor and Junior away for the weekend because of Kevins game. Since it was in Toluca and not far from CDMX I decided to travel as well to support Kevin and to see some friends as well.

Since my flight didn't leave until tomorrow I was leaving the house clean so that when I came back it would be nice and neat

To my surprise, I was organizing the guest bedroom because I had ordered a new carpet for the room and it had came today. I hear the front door unlock and was surprised because no one was supposed to be coming over.

I walk downstairs to go see who it was and I see Kevin putting his jacket on the coat hanger and he looks up when he hears me coming down stairs

"Hola mi amor" he says while I give him and kiss on the cheek

"hi baby" I say, "I thought you'd be on your way to Toluca by now"

"well a storm hit the city and is supposed to continue until Tuesday or so, but for now the game is delayed" he said

"oh well, im going to call your mom so I can go pick up Flor and Junior"

"wait wait. what if we just spend a weekend alone" Kevin says while he places his hands around my hips and pulls me in

"fine" I sigh "but we can go pick up on Sunday, Diego and Kylie are coming over"

"yes of course" Kevin says "but tonight im going to take you out"

"oh really" I say "should I dress fancy"

"you could wear the beige dress that I like"

"but I feel like id be showing to much" I say "me tango queen vestir como señora con hombre y dos hijos"

"yeah but you look hot"

"yeah I do" I say giggling

The day was soon going to turn into night, Kevin set the reservation for 7 and it was currently 6 and I was just about finished getting ready

Im putting my heels on when Kevin walks in with a ramo of roses with black paper surrounding it. Even with the years that passed siempre ha sido un gran detallista.

"aw Kev you didn't have to" I say smiling and he hands me the ramo.

It wasn't that huge but I always appreciate any gift he gets me. Especially because this one I could hold in my hand.

"you know I would buy you the world" he says

"I think roses for now are just fine" I say and smile

"are you ready to go" he asks

"I am actually" I say proudly " how about you go start the car while I put these in water"

"sounds good" he says and I give him a kiss

I go into his car and my phone immediately connected to share play (as it should).

"so how far is the drive" I ask while I put on my playlist

"Cuando me siento en tus brazos, se me olvida todo"

"around 30 minutes " Kevin replies and I nod in agreement

"Soy afortunado por tenerte a ti"

Kevin and I talk the whole was. This was the first time Kevin and I had been out by ourselves since before Junior had been born almost a year ago. Kevin denies wanting to force him to play soccer. but I see him already training him when junior "kicks" the ball in the net while Kevin helps him with his balance
