"Man that outfit Val was wearing was so cute..." joshua would mutter under his breathe as he walk away from Val's room

val would sit on the bed opening her phone to watch some videos, for servals hours Val would be watching TikTok's in bed

Joshua finishes tidying up the living room and kitchen, making sure everything is in order before heading to his own room. He's exhausted from the late night and early morning, but he can't seem to shake off the image of Val in that cute outfit.

He lies down on his bed, trying to focus on his own work, but finds himself glancing over at Val's door every now and then, wondering what she's up to.

"Stupid," He mutters to himself, "She's like a little sister, but sometimes..."

A few hours later, he hears the sound of her phone's screen shutting off and the house falling silent. He gets up and peaks into her room, seeing her passed out peacefully in bed.

He can't help but smile slightly, feeling a softness towards her that he tries to hide.

"Grow up, Josh," He whispers to himself, closing the door softly and going back to his own room. "She needs guidance, not your fucking feelings." But as he tries to sleep, he keeps thinking about her cute face and messy hair

The next morning, Joshua wakes up early, feeling a bit drained but determined to get some work done. He goes to check on Val, finding her still asleep in the same position.

He studies her face for a moment, taking in her youthful features and the way her black hair spreads across the pillow.

"Fuck, she's beautiful," He murmurs, shaking his head and leaving the room.

At breakfast, he makes her coffee and leaves it on the table, along with some toast and fruit. "Wake up when you can," He writes on a note, knowing she likely overslept.

He spends the day working from home, occasionally checking on Val to see if she's awake. When he returns from a meeting, he finds her finally up, eating the food he left for her.

"About time," He says, pouring himself a glass of water.

He sits down across from her, eyeing her messy appearance and the remnants of last night's makeup.

"We need to talk," He says seriously, sipping his water. "About your drinking and your outfits and..." He trails off, not sure how to express his concerns without scolding her.

val would look at him with the most sleepy eyed expression. As she continues to eat and talk

"What about my drink problem and my clothes. Honestly I think I was fucking hot last night. And I don't need a men dictating my very outfit. I'm not some child Joshua." she would mumble half and nearly almost very word of that sentence

Joshua's gaze softens slightly at her sleepy expression, but his brows furrow at her attitude.

"You're not a child, no, but you act like one half the time," He says, setting his glass down. "And yes, you looked hot last night, but that's not the point. The point is you passed out on the street, alone, in a sketchy part of town. What if someone had taken advantage of you?"

He sighs, running a hand through his hair.

"And the drinking... Val, you're 21, but you can't handle your liquor worth shit. It's like you're trying to prove something by getting wasted every weekend. Newsflash, sweetie, it's not impressive. It's just irresponsible." He leans forward, his hazel eyes locked on hers.

"And as for your outfits, I'm just saying, sometimes less is more. You have a great body, but when you dress like a cheap hooker, it draws the wrong kind of attention. I just want you to be safe and respected, okay?" He says gently, trying to reason with her. "I'm not trying to dictate your life, I'm just trying to look out for you because no one else will."
