"I was searching high and low for Charlie, then spotted her in the kitchen. Something felt off, a gut feeling, and I was right. I heard her talking on her phone, pressed against her left ear, and knew it was your enemy, Dad. I felt it in my bones. So I recorded it. I tried to warn Charlie, but he was too focused on your mission. He didn't even listen when I called him on the phone!" I explained, pocketing the phone Dad handed back to me.

He rubbed his face, his eyes serious. "Antonio might have him now; I'm sure of it," he murmured, looking straight at me. He leant in, his voice low.

"I need you to do something. Go with Robert; keep Rosy safe. We'll settle this later when I get back!" His jaw was tight.

"I just have to take care of something," he added.

"Dad, where are you going?" I exclaimed, confused.

"No questions, for now. Just do as I say!" He grabbed his car keys from the table, leaving me speechless. I watched him go, then found Robert and did as instructed.

Manolo's Point Of View

Rosy's betrayal was a mystery wrapped in a betrayal. Why? What drove her to this? The video of her betrayal haunts me, shattering the trust I had in her. Charlie was in danger, and I had to get him out.

I called Peter, one of my trusted men. Peter and his sisters have never let me down. I dialled Peter's number, and he answered promptly.

"Dad?" he answered, his voice tight.

"Antonio has Charlie right now. Rescue him; bring Justin and Tinley with you. Be careful, Peter. I cannot bear any harm coming to you," I instructed. My words hung heavy.

"Yes, Dad. We'll handle it," he replied respectfully.

I ended the call, focusing on the road ahead. Disappointment at Rosy's betrayal weighed heavily on my mind.

The shadows stretched long and dark, and the air crackled with tension. This wasn't just a betrayal; it was a war.

Alesia's Point Of View

Twenty-four hours. That's all the police gave us. My boyfriend Joseph and I had no choice but to wait for twenty-four hours, as suggested by the police when we tried to report Stephanie's disappearance.

I had twenty-four hours to wait, while my heart pounded with every passing second.

Stephanie, my best friend, vanished without a trace. I really don't know what's happening to Stephanie right now; I have no idea why we can't find her at this time. In all the years we've been friends, she has never disappeared like this. She always informs me about every decision she makes in her life, no matter how big or small her problem is.

I know something wrong is happening, and that's what I will find out. I won't stop until I know the root cause of this. I won't stop until I find her, no matter what happens. But one thing is for sure: This isn't just a disappearance; it's a mystery I'm determined to solve.

Mateo's Point Of View

The mansion loomed before me, a fortress of shadows and secrets. David and Jack, who are also among Boss's best and most skilled men, met me at the door.

Charlie, unconscious, slumped in my arms while I cradled the lifeless woman. It was only then that I realised the woman Boss was monitoring for Marcelo and this woman were the same. I didn't know the connection Boss had with this woman, but I'm not nosy, so I won't investigate further.

Boss's connection to her remains a mystery for another time.

We took them to the safe room, with Jack and David helping me lead the way while carrying Charlie. It was already quite bright as it was seven in the morning, unlike when I retrieved Charlie when it was still very dark, and I could hardly make out their faces. When we got into the safe room, we secured Charlie and the woman like prisoners of war. The boss needed to know I had succeeded. But Charlie was a slippery snake, so I left Jack and David to watch him like hawks. Then, I was off to face Boss.

The weight of my mission heavy on my shoulders. The game was far from over.

Third Person's Point Of View

Alesia and Joseph took the bold step to report Stephanie's disappearance to the police, even after the initial 24-hour window had passed. As they arrived at the station, they poured out the details of the events surrounding Stephanie's disappearance.

"Don't fret; we'll move mountains to find your friend," the officer assured them with a nod.

"I implore you; please do everything in your power to locate my best friend." Alesia's voice trembled with emotion.

"Ma'am, we'll do our utmost; it's our duty as officers," came the firm response.

"Let them work their magic, baby," Joseph whispered, his touch a soothing balm as he focused on the officers before them.

"We'll keep you informed; don't worry, ma'am, my team will track down your missing friend," the officer promised, rising to shake Joseph's hand and meeting with a grateful nod.

"Much obliged, Sir," Joseph expressed his gratitude. The officer flashed a smile and turned his attention to Joseph. He donned his glasses, clasped his hand, and met their gaze.

"Everything will fall into place. We have to trust them." His words were a gentle reassurance.

"Let's roll, baby," Joseph added, and Alesia grinned in response. With that, they exited the station, heading towards Joseph's car, leaving with hope in their hearts.

Antonio's Point Of View

The living room was hushed, engulfed by the whispers of my men surrounding me, each positioned differently, some seated, some standing. Sipping wine, my thoughts consumed by Manolo, and the torment I planned for him. I wanted to crush him like an ant, but I held back, opting to make him suffer until he begged like a woman. He was the reason for my wife's death, and I wouldn't let him harm or use my Scarlett against me. Suddenly, a voice called from behind, and there stood Mateo. Setting down my wineglass, I focused on him as he sat before me.

"Boss, they're in the safe room now," he calmly announced, lighting a cigarette.

"Bravo! I've been eager to confront that beast. Instruct Jack regarding the woman; she may just be an additional-" I was cut off by his next words.

"By the way, Boss, the woman you asked Marcelo to monitor and the one involved in Charlie's retrieval are the same," he shared, pouring wine but pausing at my reaction.

"What?! Where is she...?" I inquired urgently, furrowing my brow.

"She's safe with Charlie in the safe room, resting like a sleeping beauty," he revealed, flashing a smile.

"Hands off her; I have grander plans," I commanded, then downed the wine, setting the glass back on the table.
