Prince sat in amazement, "So you're not Jessica's biological father?" "No i'm not." Jessica's dad answered looking at Prince. "Well finish the story, I wanna hear more." "Okay.. But its not much."

"Ahh!" Jessica screamed gripping hold of her mom tightly. "Stop being difficult you little brat!" An officer yelled. Jessica scratched at him and began to cry. "Hey. Hey! Leave her alone!" Officer Mendez yelled moving the guy away from Jessica.

"Hi what's your name?"

"Jessica."

"Jessica? That's a pretty name. How old are you Jessica?"

"I three."

"Three? Wow you're almost a big girl." "Now Jessica can you tell me what happened to mommy?"

Jessica looked at the officer and shrugged. "I not have mommy. I by me self."

"Well how'd you get by yourself? How did this lady get here?"

Jessica shrugged again. "I not know. I cry and then I not cry no more. I just sit here by lady."

"Well this lady has to go bye bye now."

"Why?"

"Because she uh.. Is not with us anymore. So now she has go be with God."

"Her gonna be an angel?"

"Yep." Officer Mendez smiled.

Another officer approaches them and tapped him on the shoulder, "What are we gonna do with the girl. Send her to foster care?" "No. Uh i'll take her in. She doesn't even know who this lady is?" "What are you gonna do with her? Raise her lol" The officer joked. Officer Mendez looked at him with a blunt stare. "Yes."

"So basically, I took Jessica in. Raised her, and she never even questioned who her mother was." "Did she ever wonder why she didn't have a mommy, but everyone else did?" "Nope, she was homeschooled and if she ever asked I would tell her: "sometimes you get a mommy with a daddy and sometimes mommy with no daddy, but the luckiest people get a daddy and no mommy because that means you're protected 24/7 with mommy as an angel." "

"Wow. I feel so bad for Jessica. Is there anyway I can help her?"

"... Just be there for her when she needs you."

Prince nodded and got off the porch. "Well thank you. I'm going to go see Jessica later tonight. I promise you i'm not leaving my girl's site."

With that Prince got in his car and left.

Prince watched Asia as she played peacefully in her crib that he didn't even notice his mom sneak up behind him. "She looks just like Jessica." His mom said smiling. Prince smirked a little and nodded, "Yeah.." "Even though I wish it was Ray who knocked her, i'm glad it was you."

Prince looked at his mom and smiled. "I can tell you're in love with her Jacob, but why."

"Why what?"

"Why do you out of your way for this one girl. What makes her different from the rest?"

Prince thought about it for a sec and looked at his mom. "Her background. Her life." "The future I see with her. The promise I made to protect her. The fact that I love her. Her." Prince said smiling. "I can look into my daughter's eyes and can say, you remind me of the women I love."

Asia looked at Prince and giggled a little, "dada." Prince smiled at Asia then looked at his mom who was in tears. "What's wrong mom?" "Nothing.. I raised a man... Not a boy." Prince hugged his mom and smiled.
