CHAPTER FIVE
@elniststory...a sly smile spreading across his face as he waited in line. Coco felt her heart racing, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios.
As Ethan received his coffee and began walking towards them, Coco felt her fear spike. But with Austin by her side, she knew she wasn't alone.
Austin's eyes locked onto Coco's, his expression softening. "Hey, Co, I want you to know that I'm here for you, always. No matter what happens, I'll be right by your side."
Coco felt a lump form in her throat as she searched Coco's face. She saw the sincerity in his eyes, the unwavering support.
"Thank you, Austin," she whispered, her voice trembling. "That means everything to me."
Coco glanced back, noticing Ethan walking out of the cafe, coffee in his hand. He didn't even glance in their direction, seemingly oblivious to their presence.
Austin's hand found hers, his fingers intertwining with hers in a gentle grasp. "We're in this together, Coco. We'll face whatever comes next."
In that moment, Coco felt a sense of peace wash over her. They enjoyed the rest of the day together chatting and laughing.
As they left the cafe, felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was grateful to be out of the confines of the small coffee shop and into the fresh air. Austin walked beside her, his hand still holding hers, offering a sense of comfort and security.
He opened the car door for Coco to enter.
As they drove away, Austin turned up the volume on the radio, and the sweet melody of a love song filled the air.Coco's heart skipped a beat as she recognized the song - it was her favorite. She glanced at Austin, who was watching her with a warm smile.
"You know this is my favorite song, don't you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Austin nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I do. I wanted to make this moment perfect for you."
As they drove through the quiet streets, the music seemed to match the rhythm of their heartbeats. Lexi felt herself getting lost in the lyrics, in the moment, and in Austin's eyes.
She reached out, her hand brushing against Austin's. He intertwined their fingers, his touch sending shivers down her spine.
The song's chorus filled the car, and Coco felt like she was melting into Austin's side. She knew in that moment, she was falling deeply in love with him.
As the song came to an end, Austin turned down the volume, but the silence between them was filled with a deeper connection, a sense of belonging, and a love that was growing stronger by the minute.
He stepped on the brakes as the car stopped in front of Coco's apartment, Austin quickly got out to open the door for her. He offered his hand to help her out, and Coco smiled, feeling a sense of chivalry and care.
As they walked towards her apartment door, Austin kept pace beside her, his hand still holding hers. Coco felt a sense of comfort and security with him by her side.
She stood at her apartment door, Austin's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze filled with warmth and affection. He leaned in, his lips two inches to Coco's as she felt his breathed on her cheekCoco's heart fluttered.
"Get some rest, Coco." Austin whispers
Coco nodded, feeling a little disappointed, her hand on the door handle. "Thanks for everything, I had a great time."."
