Someone speaking alarms Kenji

A swarm of thugs surround Kenji
Kenji takes a deep breath and dives head first into the crowd of thugs fighting but easily gets pulled away and gets pummeled by the group

Serena: What about Michael's new friend Kenji any elaborate plan for him?
???: No not really we'll send a couple of people to rough him up and forget about him

PRESENT
Kenji gets thrown in a bunch of trash and the group of thugs being to walk away believing Kenji to be knocked out
When they hear Kenji slowly getting up and talking it stuns them

Kenji picks up a wooden stick from the trash and points it at the group

FLASHBACK
Kenji was standing in a hallway listening to a conversation happening on the other side of the door
???: How's his progress coming along? We need strong members for the next era
Teacher: Not...great but-

Kenji runs away without hearing the rest of the conversation
Teacher: Sir there's something there the boy has talent I can tell it just needs to be nurtured until it can bloom and when it does we will have one of the greatest members this clan has ever seen.
PRESENT

Kenji uses the wooden stick to slash and hack at crowds of people relying on nothing but instinct to win him this battle
Random thug: We...WE CANT BEAT HIM!!!!
The few remaining thugs attempt to run away but Kenji catches up with them easily and swings the wooden stick that crashes down on them and knocks them out.
After the fight Kenji wipes his hair out his face and Kenji takes heavy breaths
