2 Weeks To Fall In Love (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1 - The Confession

"FASTER! Melinda! Faster! Yes! Good job!" My P.E teacher said as I climbed out of
the swimming pool.

Hey, I'm Melinda Anderson, my friends call me Melly, I'm 17 years old, I have 2 best friends, Melissa (we call her Mel) and Zach. We've been the craziest friends since preschool.

I am madly in love with the school's hottest guy. I dated him once, but it didn't end well. He's the one who broke up with me, saying that it's not working out and bla bla bla, but I still love him with all my heart, yup, I'm still in love with my ex.

That guy is Michael Parker.

He moved on so fast. He's now in love with another girl, Katherine Hannigan. She is beautiful, smart, nice, sweet girl, she's perfect, there's nothing annoying about her, it's impossible to hate her.

I walk to where my best friends are standing. I watch as Katherine swim gracefully through the swimming pool.

"Ugh, look at her. She's good at everything. She's perfect." I said. Zach just rolled his eyes.

"Nobody's perfect." He said. I watch her as she got out of he swimming pool, suddenly she tripped and fall. "Told you" he smirked.

I tried to help her up but someone already did. Mike helped her. They looked at each other for a while and turned away smiling. GAH, disgusting. I feel like I'm going to vomit.

"Hey, what if you pretend to fall too, maybe he'll help." Mel whispered, I nodded.

"Worth a shot." I mumbled. I walk casually and 'fall' down. I groaned and watch Mike walk pass me like nothing happened. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Oh my gosh, Melly, are you okay?" Zach said, helping me up. I nodded at him and stood up.

"Did you guys freakin' see that?!? He helped her! He didn't help me! You know why? Cause he likes her, he doesn't like me. I fell, he didn't even notice. I bet he thinks that I'm a freak.. OMG what if he thinks that I'm this obsessive crazy ex. AGH" I groaned.

We're in the locker room. The others have gone out except us three, because I'm still drying my hair. Why can't I dry my hair outside of the locker room, You ask? It's because the clean freak janitor here instructed us not to do so, cause the floor will be all wet and blah. So, my beloved best friends waited for me.

"Girl, you've been ranting about him for hours, good thing P.E is the last lesson we have. Your hair is already dry! Now come on!" Mel said while dragging me out with Zach.

"You guys, see the way he looks at her, it's the same exact way I look at him. Why can't he like me back? What did I do to him? What does she have that I don't?!? Why did he break up with me?" I asked with a worried face.

"Now you sound like an obsessive ex girlfriend. Stop it. Now let's go shopping!! Zach, you're coming with us, no excuses." Mel said. Zach just rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." He said while following us.

"You probably want to come anyway." Mel smirked at him. Zach glared at her and mumbled something, but I didn't quite hear it.

Mel's POV

Young love is so romantic. Zach has been in love with Melly since I don't know, 5th grade? He doesn't have the guts to tell her how he feels, but he's been showing it, she's just too naive to see it. Now we're at Starbucks, drinking our drinks and talking.

"Be right back, gotta go." Melly said as she ran to the bathroom.

"When are you gonna tell her?" I ask. He rolled his eyes.

"Oh, umm, I don't know,, never." He said and I glared at him.

"Ugh, you're such a chicken, come on, she needs someone, you want her to rant about Mike all the time? Think about her talking about you for a change. Do it. That's final." I said and finally she came back.

"Hey, so, I gotta go, my mom just called and y'know, bye!" I said while running away. HAHAHA, my plan is working perfectly, for now. Zachary Evans, you owe me.

Melinda's POV

"Okay, bye!" I said while watching her walk away with a grin on her face.

"So! Umm. Melly! How are you??" Zach said nervously. I look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Umm. I'm fine... Why?" I ask and he just shrugged while laughing. I gave him a weird look.

"Zach, are you feeling okay? Let's just go home, c'mon" I said while walking away but he held my arm.

"Please.. Don't go,, I need to tell you something.." He said, I hesitated as I sit down in front of him.

"What's up Zach?" I said with a curious face. What's wrong with him??

"Melinda Anderson.. I love you.." Zach said while avoiding eye contact from me. As soon as those words came out from his mouth my heart just beats faster and faster.

"I love you too, Zach!" I said. I was shocked, and I'm trying to deny it and act as if I got the message wrong. I have never think of Zach in that way.

"I love you, I loved you for 5 years... But I'm just too scared and shy.. But I love you. It hurts me to hear you rant about him for days.. Will you be my girlfriend?" He said with hopeful eyes. I'm speechless.

"Please... Give me 2 weeks. You be my girlfriend for 2 weeks. When the 2 weeks end.. You can decide to be with me or to be single.. Please Melinda,, all I want is 2 weeks. Please.." He said with hope. I nodded and he suddenly hug me as tightly as he could

"2 weeks, okay?" I said as I let go, and he nodded eagerly.

Well... This is it.. 2 weeks... What did I get myself into..
