If these walls could talk,
They would speak of your courage.
Of what you look for in the mirror,
But can somehow never find it.
If these walls could talk,
They would speak of your light.
How it's faded,
But still there
And still as ever bright.
If these walls could talk,
They would say how proud they were.
And though you've never heard that said before,
Now, just listen to their words.
If these walls could talk,
They would keep your secrets close.
For they're the greatest gift,
You could ever give,
The greatest gift of hope.
If these walls could talk,
They would try and comfort you,
Reach out with arms that aren't there
That would hold you close and say
"It's okay–
Hold on just a little bit longer.
I see you as you are.
And hope that one day you will, too.
Until then I will be here,
To listen, this is true."
