"yall ready to go?" my aunt RiRi asks me and my cousin

"yea" we said together

"alright lets roll" she says as she goes downstairs and starts the car.

Jr walked a head of me when we walked down the stairs

I really don't want to move at all because I gotta leave all my friends and everything I know behind

I've never been to the Northside before

shit Ian never even been out of Texas before and the one time I do leave, I might never come back.

I'ma miss this country life fr with all the trees and land everywhere, that's what make me swear to never go to New York or anywhere like that.

We were all in the rental car now and we're otw to the airport and I'm nervous as fuck cs I've never been on a plane before.

"Momma can we go get something to eat please Ian ate all day" I asked

"what you wanna eat girl?" she asks me

"uhhh can we get crackle barrel?" I ask cs I wanna get to experience the southern dining one last time before we leave

"we gotta catch a flight in 2 hours so we can't sit and eat Jai" she tells me

well there goes that

"what you wanna eat?" I asked Jr because ik I won't change my mind

He said McDonald's ofc so that's what we got.

We got to the Airport and after an hour we finally boarded the plane and I was mad nervous I was scared that bitch was gon crash or sum shit

I GOT THROUGHT THE 7 HOUR PLANE RIDE MFSS AND I DIDN'T DIE

I slept most of the time because my mom gave me pills to relax

We just got to my other aunts house that I haven't seen in years

"Heyyy yall!" My aunt Vivi greets us all "ohhh I haven't seen my niece and nephew in years"

She gives us all tight hugs and then calls for my cousin "Sha'mir!! Jayden and Jailyn are here!!" She yells

A few seconds later he comes downstairs

"Yoooo Jr n Jai!" He yells as he sees us

"Yooo Wsp mir!" I dap him up into a hug and Jayden does the same

"Bro we ain't seen yo ass in years since yall moved bruh yall can't come visit or smt?" Jr says

"Mann yk damn well why we ain't come visit yall same damn reason yall moved up here" Mir laughs

We have to stay with my aunt for a while until we find a house of our own

Me and Jr start at Mir's school in a week cs it's Thanksgiving break rn

Speaking of Thanksgiving it's tomorrow and I can't wait to eat some of the good ass food that my mom and my aunts cook

They've had a great bond together since they were babies and the food they cook together is so good and it'll take you there

They work so effortlessly together

This is our first Thanksgiving together in 3 years
