Looking into the mirror Mai sighed. She should really think about getting a hair cut, but at the same time she loved the long hair. The only issue was the fact that it got in her face. Grabbing a pony tail she took the frustrating strands and put a bun on the top of her head. There, she thought, much better. With a smile she finished dressing in her new school uniform, she went with the black sweater this year, it was warm comfortable, and she didn't have to worry about the boys ogling her chest. For some reason she had finally bloomed this year. Though she was excited for the new school year, she was Really excited to get back to SPR. For a short two months she had taken a break to focus on finals and school, which had surprised most everyone. Just because she didn't take school nearly as seriously as most of them didn't mean she didn't care about her future. She mostly had an A, B, school average which was good, but most people wouldn't expect that of her. Slipping on her tights, she then picked up her bag and headed towards the door. Today was gonna be great.
Mai laid her head on the desk, wanting to give up on life. Why was it harder? wasn't senior year supposed to be easy. Sitting up Mai looked at her phone. She'd need to leave soon, and with that in mind she slung her back pack over her shoulder, and walked toward the buildings entrance. She stopped at her lock and put on her flats, putting her school shoes away. She then hurried along to the building she missed the most, with the people she cared about.
..
Mai looked around at all the confused faces. Naru was sitting in a chair reading a book, no facial expression there, Lin was busy with his computer so again no facial expression. But the rest looked as if Mai was some sort of Alien that appeared out of nowhere. Did she really look that different? Her hair had started to grow out and her chest had started to grow, but no one probably really noticed till now. Of course Mai's hair was still pretty short, and her chest hadn't grown that big when she'd left, but she thought someone would have noticed. Looking at Naru, Mai's heart raced, he'd somehow been able to become more handsome than when she last saw him. His hair was a little longer, his violet eyes seemed to be a deeper shade, almost looking black, and his skin wasn't as pale as it normally was, his boyish feature's had become more masculine, and at this point Mai was sure more woman sought after him.
Monk stood, and walked over to Mai, his face only inches from her own, "You sounds like Mai..."
The sound of a book closing abruptly, had all eyes on Naru, "Welcome back Mai..." He said softly before standing up and walking into another room.
After Naru left the rest all concluded that this was in fact Mai. She shook her head, she really had missed these guys.
..
That night Mai lay awake staring at her ceiling. She wouldn't be in this place for much longer, her landlord wanted to give her a room at his newest building. The one she was in now was going to be remodeled, which she didn't mind. The new place was bigger, had a washer and dryer in the unit and the kitchen wasn't cramped. She would have two bedrooms instead of just the one, and he even lowered her rent. He normally was really nice to Mai, he'd been friends with her dad when she was smaller. After her mom passed, he offered her a place to stay, and even got her a job. Now that she worked at SPR, however, she made more money, and was able to be content with her life.
Mai pulled the covers over her chin and drifted off, the day was over... tomorrow would bring an adventure for sure...

Ghost Hunt (A continued Fan-Fic)
МистикаThis is not an Alt. version of my other Ghost Hunt, this is a completely different spin off. I got the idea of doing another one because a lot of people seem to quit the ghost hunt series. So this is a more case orientated story. I hope you enjoy it...
