• ~~~~~~~ • 🥀 • ~~~~~~~ •The next morning, Lisa stirred in bed, noticing Jennie was no longer beside her. "Strange..."
She mumbled wondering how she didn't hear Jennie leave her side, stretching before slipping into fresh clothes. The aroma of food wafted from the kitchen, pulling her towards it.As Lisa entered the kitchen, she found Jennie humming softly, cooking breakfast while an old tune played in the background. It wasn't just any music... something about it felt familiar, distant yet intimate, like a piece of a forgotten memory. Jennie's back was to facing her, and for a moment, Lisa blinked as a sense of déjà vu washed over her. It was as if she was watching Ruby Jane again, cooking and swaying to those very same old songs from long ago in the past.
"J-Jennie?" Lisa called softly, her voice betraying her confusion. Jennie turned around with a bright smile, her apron tied around her waist.
"Morning! I made us breakfast," she chirped, gesturing towards the table where the food was already set. It looked delicious, just like always.
Lisa stepped forward, pressing a gentle kiss to Jennie's forehead. "It looks great, hon."
They ate breakfast together on the patio, basking in the sunlight with a beautiful view. The sunlight, though harmless to them as vampires, cast a warm glow on the morning."Wine this early?" Lisa quirked an eyebrow as Jennie poured herself a glass.
"Why not? We don't have classes today." Jennie winked, reminding her it was the weekend.
"No more headaches or anything?" Lisa asked cautiously, the concern from the day before still gnawing at her. Jennie's sudden headache, the appearance of her angelic wings, and those blood-red eyes still haunted Lisa's thoughts.
Jennie chuckled, shaking her head. "Nope, I feel fine now. You really worry too much." Lisa sighs, though still wary. Jennie was half-vampire, which made her unique. But still, it was unsettling to see her show symptoms no full vampire should ever experience.
