Me and Wheeler were at Dynamite. We hung out in my office the entire time during the show since he had no matches. I was cuddled with him on the couch. Even tho we had 2 huge targets on our backs, this was nice, just cuddling and enjoying each others company.
"Mariah May been pissing me off with that Title shit." Wheeler said snacking on popcorn.
"Hey she's a good champ tho, she won fair and square. Yea she a little annoying but hey she entertaining to watch." I said looking back at the TV laughing. Then we both froze.
"Fuck." Wheeler whispered. It was PAC and Claudio.
"Yuta." PAC said
"Fuck." I repeated what Wheeler said.
"Where you been man? We're the trios champions and we haven't heard from you since the Pay Per View." PAC continued. "It's very simple, next week we have a championship defense so it's time to get back to work. Do you understand me? Pull your socks up Yuta and we'll see you next week."
"NO WHO THE FUCK SIGNED OFF ON THIS?" I yelled.
"Baby calm down." He said holding me close as we continued to watch the message.
"Look I'm not mad I'm just- I'm just disappointed." I scoffed at Claudio. "I thought I taught you better. Well obviously you're old enough to make your own decisions. But just do me this one favor and show up next week to help us defend these trios championships."
"Fuck me man." Wheeler said rubbing his eyes. Then we saw Marina and Jon show.
"Oh great there more." I scoffed rolling my eyes
"I know it's a lot to handle Wheeler, but I believe you have strength inside of you to do the right thing. It's your choice." Jon said I looked Wheeler as he was squeezing my hand angry at all this. "You're free to leave, you're not trapped you can do whatever you wants it's your choice. I know you let Vanessa do the choices for you so it's time to be a man about all of this."
"DONT FUCKING MENTION HER NAME!" Wheeler said as I tried calming him down.
"But you have a personal responsibility to the greater good, you have to look at yourself in the mirror every morning of what kind of man did we teach you to be." Jon said.
"Now Vanessa, you've been ignoring me for the longest. But you came back, to help your precious Yoots that's what you call him right?" I was fueming with anger by now. "But I need you to tell Yoots that there only a right decision here and you know what's good for him. So please do the right thing here Vee. But soon I will need to have a little 1–1 with you. So be prepared." Jon said. I turned of the TV and threw the remote.
"Baby."
"You can't Wheeler. It's all a trap there gonna trap you to use you as bait Yuta I can't." I said tearing falling down again. Wheeler grabbed our stuff and pulled me out the door. "Where we going?"
"Hotel I'm tired of being here. Especially knowing Jon looking for you." He said we then got stopped by a camera and Alex. "Fuck"
"Wheeler Vanessa thank you for stopping I appreciate it. Need to get your response here Wheeler, Claudio Castanogli and PAC are demanding to defend the world trios title with them next week at Grand Slam." Alex asked Wheeler I looked at him.
"Yea obviously I'm pretty conflicted based on recent events let's just say." Wheeler then looked down on me and sighed. "But I've worked my whole career for an opportunity like this to be a champion and if we're gonna showcase what we've got on a stage in Wrestledream-"
"Baby it's not wrestledream it's Grand Slam." I said to him with a concerning look.
"Yuta Yuta you left this in the locker room." An AEW staff came up to us with his Trio belt.
"Sorry my head been all over the place as you can tell but if there's one thing I learned from Bryan Danielson and Vivi it's you don't change who you are just because people around you are changing, I'm a fighting champion I take pride of carrying this worlds trio championship so despite on what those other guys wanna do, if they want one more favor if they want to defend these trio's championships at Grand Slam. The next week I'll kick whoever ass I have to." He said looking at me. I smiled at him. He's brave and that's why I love about him.
"Now Vanessa. How do you feel about Jon's message to you?" Alex asked me. I then looked at Wheeler and now I felt I have to be brave.
"At first I was scared of him, what he did to Bryan and then to me hurt I will admit. We went through everything and now he wants to call me out and call Yuta out that's where I draw the line. Jon I have a message for you. I am not scared of you because I know you inside and out so whatever you're gonna do whatever sick games that's your planning inside that twisted mind of yours bring it on I'll be waiting." I then grabbed Wheeler hand and kissed his cheek. "And we'll be ready." I said smiling at him. We then lead the way to our car and sat in there silent.
"So no more hiding?" Wheeler asked. I then went over and kissed him while he kissed back holding my cheek as our kiss went deeper.
"No more hiding my love. We face them if they try to face us." I said as we went back to kissing. I then gestured to go in the back seat as I couldn't wait to get back to the hotel. We went back there and continued kissed while I was on top of him. It was something we both needed. We needed each other and now we depend on each other. Whatever Jon or Claudio or PAC want we are ready when they are.
