4. Romantic Wave

The sun peeks through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the small apartment.

Wei Ying is already awake, bouncing around the kitchen, preparing breakfast.

Wei Ying is calling out, "Good morning, Gege! How do you like your bread butter? or pancake with maple syrup?"

Lan Wangji walks into the kitchen, dressed in his usual serious attire.

Lan Wangji is raising an eyebrow, "Pancake with maple syrup? That's not an option."

Wei Ying is grinning, "Well, it should be! Pancakes are like hugs on a plate!"

Lan Wangji can't help but smile slightly, shaking his head as he sits down at the table.

Lan Wangji "Just bread butter, please."

Wei Ying quickly prepare bread butter and sets a plate in front of Lan Wangji, who takes a bite.

Wei Ying is playfully asking, "So, how do you like your breakfast now? With a dash of Wei Ying's charm?"

Lan Wangji glances up, unable to hide a smirk while ruffling his hair, "More like a dash of chaos Little bunny."

Later that day, they settle down to study so Wei Ying, ever the distraction, tries to find ways to keep Lan Wangji's attention.

Wei Ying asks mockingly, "Hey, Gege, what's the capital of France?"

Lan Wangji doesn't look up from his notes, "Paris."

Wei Ying is feigning shock, "Wow! You're a genius. And here I thought it was Disneyland."

Lan Wangji finally looks at him, a hint of amusement in his eyes so he again scold him while shaking his head, "Focus on your work. Wei Ying, these days you have started playing too much pranks on me, it seems I have to teach you a good lesson and arrange for a strict punishment."

Wei Ying is dramatically answering with a pout, "But my work is making you smile! Isn't that the most important task?"

Lan Wangji rolls his eyes but a small smile back onto his face.

As night falls, they continue their study marathon where Wei Ying is determined to spend as much time with Lan Wangji as possible.

Wei Ying is yawning, "How about a break? We could watch a movie or something!"

Lan Wangji is without looking up, "We should finish this first."

Wei Ying keeps making excuses, "But if we don't take a break, you might turn into a study zombie! And then who will save me from the terrifying world of thesis writing?"

Lan Wangji pauses, finally looking at Wei Ying then he asks, "What if I like being a zombie?"

Wei Ying is laughing replying, "Then I'll have to feed you brains! But first, popcorn!"
